But they didn't trust him in early 2015

If the game is somewhat close, then we'll know b/c we'll have to pass it somewhat.
If we jump out to a 14-0 lead or something like that, you know we aren't going to throw the ball the rest of the game. Once we get a lead, Les will try to run out the clock, even if it's the first quarter. If he thinks for 1 second that we can run all over a team, we will do just that.
Running the ball is the strength of this team, as it should be since we have one of the best running backs to every play the game. If you think we are going to throw the ball 25 times a game you're kidding yourself, regardless of how good Harris looks throwing.
They dont' need to open anythign up. Just don't be so predictable and have more than 1 guy go out for a pass when you do decide to pass it. You can't call a pass play and have 1 WR run a pattern to the sideline and have the FB/TE running the same pattern 5 yards in front of him. Then throw it to the FB/TE and have some LB take his legs out and injure him, like what happened to Moore and Gordon, and almost to Fournette.

You can't pass judgement simply on one game. Let's say we get out to an early lead and start pounding the ball and Wisky can't stop it... Why quit pounding it? I just think it would be safer to say lets see what he does the first 3-4 games before we throw him under the bus.
However I do hope to see him light this Wisky defense up

If by that you mean running a lot it could be that we have a Heisman contending running back and the ground game is working against an inferior defense.
This is the Les Miles mind-set that got him in trouble last year (and year before, etc). He (Les) has this mentality that he can flash on the jumbo tron, "hand-off to LF left side" so he can get his jollies watching the O-line vs the D-line. Les MUST understand that philosophy will not work against Alabama, etc.
Think about this...If Alabama's defence lined up against the Minnesota Vikings with Adrian Peterson and, Alabama knew Minnesota was going to run the ball every down, Alabama would stop Adrian Peterson. This is why we need more variety Passing routes) and be less predictable on offense. Do you agree?

Harris needs to be around 15-25
Exactly my point. It's clear to me Les and Cam WANT to have a balanced offense that throws the ball 20-25 times a game but their lack of faith in the QB last year prevented them from doing that out of the gate. If the offense on Saturday resembles the Miss St game last year, rather than, say-the Florida game, it'll mean they still don't think Harris is fully ready to run the offense they want to run.
By contrast, Mettenberger threw 32 passes in game 1 against a good TCU defense in 2013 because the coaches trusted him to do so.

BH6 looked FANTASTIC the first half of our first game against Miss St last year, then we took our foot off the gas pedal. He will be fine and light it up!

So all the OP is saying is that Wisconsin is a perfect looking glass into Les' offensive philosophy this year, as compared to if we were playing a cupcake.
However, the OP didn't state it like you did, which I agree with, concerning Les Miles' offensive philosophy. The OP placed the blame at the feet of BH.
No school can have the consistent bad luck, bad recruiting, bad scouting LSU has had for QBs during the entire length of Les Miles' tenure at LSU. Yet, posters still want to blame the QBs. It is the system and Miles in particular that is the problem, not the personnel. BH came to LSU as a confident, cocky gunslinger with superior talent. Les Miles has neutered him and taken away his confidence rather than using that confidence and arm talent to develop a top notch QB.
Miles injects his fear of the passing game into his QBs. A QB can't be very successful when he has a deft fear of throwing an interception each time he goes back to pass. Kelly at Ole Miss is given the green light to use his skills and thus has no fear of an interception because his coach has no fear of an interception. Watson at Clemson has no fear of interceptions. Miles neuters his QBs by placing his fear of interceptions into their psyche where they are playing to avoid a turnover rather than being aggressive and using their confidence and skills to score on the other team. Like any endeavor in life, if you are constantly consumed about the negative rather than the positive, it paralyzes you and negates you abilities to achieve success out of fear of failure.

FWIW, which is nothing.... I had a DREAM, last night. LSU vs. badgers, first game of the year. The only thing I remember about the dream is; I picked up in the dream in the second quarter, LSU had the ball and was driving. Tigers were already up 29-0. And the offense... spread. I remember 2 plays... and Harris was slinging that shite all over the place. It was glorious. When I zoned out of that dream, Harris had just thrown an incompletion on a 15 or 20 yard slant route to chi. That would have put us around the Wisc. 10 yard line. Again, just a dumbass dream....but man, it was wicked awesome! There was even commentary from the announcers raving about how this was a completely different LSU offense.
Any way, I'm just ready for Saturday. That is all...

EAD you race baiting douche.
Harris is an uppercalssmAn that has experience. He should be free rolling from first snap.
What the F are you taking about hate dual threat qbs?
frick yourself. Go do it.

you have correctly identified miles philosophy, and that is why we can't win big games anymore. we need to pass when we don't have to. we need to pass a large percentage of the time when the defense is sold out on stopping the run.
I love the power offense. it must be complimented with a decent passing game which you won't have if you don't practice.
attack the weakness of the defense. why is that such a hard concept? almost everyone else does. saban does it. yes, I invoked the evil one. that's why he's the best and we're not even a close second anymore. les recruits, hires as well, and his players generally play hard for him. but this is his biggest weakness.
I generally agree with the OP. if we don't practice our passing game just because we're beating the snot of a team, that means we'll lose 2-3 games, unless our defense and special teams are spectacular.

If we're ultra conservative against UW it'll be a clear cut sign that BH hasn't turned the corner,
No, if we are ultra conservative that means Les Miles is still running the offense. I don't know how you could be more clear cut than that.

correct. I remember thinking after the first half last year against Miss St that we were going to be very, very good on offense. We opened it up, Harris looked good, all was clicking.
Then Les just stopped playing. And that let Miss St back into the game, with a chance to win it at the end with a FG.
Never been more frustrated in my life.

It is an honor to be called names by a racist POS like you. Did you think somehow your absence would mean your history on the site would be forgotten. And now you return like David Duke. A weird coincidence? Maybe you ARE David Duke.

Well I certainly don't see a reason to "ease" Harris into this.
He can either pass the frickin' ball or he can't at this point. I agree with OP that 12 passes wouldn't be ideal, idc if it means LSU is rolling. Harris and the WRs need some in-game reps.

Give Harris to Jimbo Fisher or Clemson and he would have progressed much more than he has under the Les Miles regime.
No joke. These retards act like Deshaun Watson would be lighting the world up with 2 receiver passing plays.

So true!!!! Extremely frustrating game to watch. LSU and Harris ware dominating MSU in the first half. Then Miles shut it down, trying to sit on the lead. That allowed MSU back in the game and only a missed field goal by them allowed LSU to win. Miles put the game in their hands to win because he was playing not to lose. Pitiful, pitiful coaching by Miles.
