Madden 17 Franchise Stories

Usually start this thread every year, so figured I would fire it up. Here is a place to discuss how your franchise is going (on or offline), explain big moves, sliders that are working for you, etc.
I was always a much bigger ncaa fan than madden, so I sort of combine the two. Take my beloved Saints and fill them up with LSU players. It turns out to be a pretty damn good team, and it's fun playing with guys I've followed for years.
I play with a set of all-pro sliders I found on Operation sports. It's a really good set. Nearly every game has come down to both teams having a chance to win late into the 4th.
I'm 6-3, heading into week 11 right now. I had to adjust injuries on my slider set because nearly my entire offense was hurt at one point.
I was most worried about having Mett as my QB, but he's doing fine. I play it pretty safe with him. He was one of the ones injured, but I signed Matt Flynn (keeping the LSU theme alive) and he filled in for 4 weeks. Hill was doing really well in the ground game, but got hurt. About to get him back. Beckham and Landry are beastly as my Wrs.
Really looking forward to finishing up the season and editing draft picks to add some LSU future NFL stars.

What`s up HTT10?
I bought madden for the first time in 3 years. I think it`s pretty good. I need to get use to it, because I suck bad. Playing with the Saints and I have a very hard time running the ball. I got lucky and had a 56 yard Td run with Ingram. Other than that run , there have not been many more than 3 yards.
I am trying to get the hang of pressing the buttons to catch passes, but the buttons to juke and side step players is messing me up. I probably don`t know what I'm doing, but the field vision is messing me up as well. It will take me some time for me to get it together.
I`m 4-4 and lost Ingram for 6 games and Brees for 8 games. I thought if I had a mobile QB then I can run around. So I signed Manziel, but the defenses are better than I thought and shut that down some.
I will get better, I just need more time to play. I`m not even close to All madden settings.

This is added to this game and it screws me up often too. I often press stuff I'm not trying to press. I'm move of a run north and south and cover the ball up person. Fumbling pisses me off.

Might have to adjust injury sliders. It seems every injury is a major one in this game. At one point I had #2,#3 wr, #1 rb, #1 QB, #1 te all out at once. Even with turning injuries down, I just lost Peterson last game. I can take some injuries, just not realistic if it's 50% of my starters.
This game is a lot different than ncaa used to be, but it's pretty fun. I enjoy the college game much more because I like college football in real life more. Making a LSU roster makes it more fun for me for a while. I'll eventually probably start over and rebuild a shitty franchise.

Best Madden in a long long time IMO

I think once I get a few seasons in with my LSU squad and start having trouble keeping it together I will go with the titans for rebuild mode.

I think the Rams are going to be the team I try and run with in the TD franchise. They seem like a young and fun team to play with.

I hated how they got rid of the "Be A Pro" feature in last year's madden. Did they bring that back? I liked playing with just one player trying to be the best.

Titans, Rams, Browns are at the top of my early list. I'm sure I'm going to get a few seasons under my belt with my LSU squad before changing it up though.

Seriously though, got Madden last year and didn't play it much. My son plays it a ton, but he just got the new one as well and I'm looking to get into franchise mode with him offline. How do you make multiple teams? We were looking to do the fantasy draft with 2 teams and play against each other.
HTT10, the "all LSU" team sounds like fun. Who'd you have to take first to ensure you'd get some of the better LSU guys?
1 - OBJ?
2 - Peterson?
3 - Mathieu?
4 - Juice?

I traded everyone in the regular rosters before starting franchise. It's a bit of a challenge with salary cap, especially having no space with the Saints. Had to get creative.
I don't think it would be possible to do after starting franchise to make all those trades.
LSU is loaded in the NFL at lb, cb and wr.
They just don't have a TD, C, SS or Fb. Spencer ware is my Fb though. Will not sign Unger to another deal and will draft a te and c and create pocic, adams and DeSean Smith to fill those positions next year. I really can't wait to bring fournette into the fold too. He's already created on operation sports. After year 2, Brandon Harris will be in to back up mett.
