Just finished my first season with my all-lsu squad yesterday.
Going into the final week of the season I was 10-5. Panthers were also 10-5 and Falcons were 9-6. I had the division locked up with a win over the Falcons or a Panthers lost. I ended up losing 13-12 to the Falcons and the Panthers won. That put the Panthers winning the division and me and the Falcons as the wild card.
Playoffs round 1 vs Eagles. Played a pretty good game and beat them pretty easily. Game was in the snow, which sucked... And fricking Beckham got hurt and ended his season.
Playoffs round 2 vs Seahawks. My defense played absolutely lights out, but my offense struggled without OBJ. I ended up pulling this game out by the skin of my teeth.
NFC championship vs Panthers. Early in the game Landry and lafell got hurt. So I was down to having my #4 and 5 receiver. My starting TE was still out. So I was missing my top 4 targets. Needless to say I couldn't do shite on offense and it ended my season.
I couldn't do anything with free agency cause I had - 30 million in funds. Started the next season with my drafted LSU players I had, but after a few weeks I realized there was no way I could dig myself out the hole of - 30 mill so I pulled the plug.
Now that I have some experience under my belt I'm taking the browns and going into rebuild mode. For the first season I'm just going to play the key moments, instead of the whole game.
I'm currently in week 5 and have like 40 mill. I haven't tried to re sign anybody else yet though.
Does anybody have any tips on how to make sure I keep plenty of funds to be able to resign who I want plus have some for some key free agents.

I play on All Madden with the Jags. Made sliders much much harder. Went 12-4 and won the super bowl year one. Now in year 2 I'm avg 70 points a game. Ivory has single season record. TE has most tds in a season. Bortles most passing yards and tds in a season. Ivory must rush yards. D has most sacks.

No way you are doing all that on all madden with sliders to make it harder.

The injuries on this game are ridiculous. Every injury is a tear of some sort that lasts 5-8 weeks if you're lucky. Lost Brees, my two starting RBs, a WR, and my kick returner for multiple weeks due to injuries.

Yeah. I bumped injuries way down. I don't want to take them off completly, because it's part of the game. I'm about to get to that point though. It's always key skill positions guys. Seriously when you are missing wr 1,2,3 and te 1 it's a bit much.

Exactly...and with the Jags shite line?! Ha ha ha...12 min quarters & pro I would bet

I suspect he's just running money plays like HB toss and stretch and when throwing he's abusing the CPU zone with corner routes. Madden is what you make of it. I'm having a blast under all pro with tweaked sliders as the Browns.

Yes I am. Run crossing routes and slants and corner routes. Corner route to a fast TE he has 1500 yards and I don't always use him. Run the ball in I form and toss it. Sub in a blocking TE. D hang on for dear life. And yes I just run money plays like he said. The game is a joke, but I have fun setting crazy records. 6 min quarters with the speed clock or whatever off. I'm gonna move it to 5 min with accel on. I score in maybe 2-4 plays each drive, I don't see how playing on a easier mode would really be much easier. Maybe on D bc sometimes I give up 45
Money play 1 I-Form H Tight stretch
Money play 2 Gun Doubles on drags under. Throw to the TE
Money 3 - any slants play
Money 4 - Andy crossing routes
Money 5- any out route
Money 6- any corner route.
Money 7. Never run PA
Defense run 5-2 man blitz one guy

I would destroy you online
It's only a joke if you play like that. I play conventional offense and try to mix it up. To me, I get a good gaming experience. If you're wanting to break records and such, doing it your way would be a "fun" way. Most of us here would rather play an actual football game though.

Well yea I play differently online. But for my offline franchise I just destroy. Online franchise is awesome bc it's a good gaming experience if you get 8-10 good people who don't go for it on 4th and do stupid stuff or quit. I was just telling my story!!!!!! I'm sorry!!!!!!

If you use the money plays in offline, you will use them online. It's guaranteed.

Mission rebuild the Browns is underway and off to a great start.
I went ahead and simmed week by week season 1 (I still upgraded players and scouted). Ended up winning something like 6-7 games.
I was surprised to see how many young players the browns have. Not too many old people on the team, they just aren't many stud young guys. Anyway I re signed a good chunk of the young guys. Going to try to build around them and add starters above them at most positions, as current players would serve as solid depth. Let Josh Gordon walk.
Free agency year 1-
signed LG- Jermon bushrod 81 to a 1 year deal. He is older, but I got him on the cheap and he was an immediate starter at RG for me.
Signed DT- Bennie Logan 81. Was one of the better DT's on the market. Scooped him up quick.
Signed FS- Tony Jefferson 83. Young and pretty good free safety added to the team.
YEAR 1 DRAFT
I was lucky the browns were already stocked with draft picks. Ended up having a really good draft.
In the first I picked up a 83 rated OLB. He is currently starting at a DE position for me because his rating is actually higher there.
Also picked up a 81 rated WR in first round. He's my #2 guy and a return man.
Picked up a 75 rated WR, who turned into my #3 guy. He's surprisingly really good. Very hard to bring down after the catch so far.
Grabbed a 79 rated LE. He's starting on the opposite side of the other rookie on the DL.
And finally, the only one of my draft picks that aren't starting is a 72 rated CB. He is my dime back and has a pick on the season though.
All together I think I made some solid improvements from the original team. I upgraded at 6 positions.
Much to my surprise I am actually starting off season 2 good. Off to a 4-0 start, although I must admit that the schedule has been pretty easy up to this point.
I like my core defense. Also like my young WRs, to go along with Coleman. Johnson and Crowell are provided solid running as well.
My plan for the future-
1. upgrading the offensive line big time.
2. Draft or sign a big time QB.

I skipped Madden 16 and admittedly never got too much into 15 (bought less than a year ago)... but something that I'm really noticing with this years Madden is your offensive line seems to really matter. I'm about to play the last game of my first season with the Saints (when I get off work) and I can't wait for the offseason to draft or sign an offensive line that isn't garbage. Definitely plan on replacing both OGs at the very least.
I've really enjoyed the 1st season. Currently sitting at 9-6.. Needing either a win against the 11-4 Falcons or the 8-6 Panthers to lose in week 17 for me to get the wildcard. Definitely going to change the injury slider in the offseason.. I've lost CJ Spiller and Michael Thomas for the rest of the season after missing Mark Ingram for 6 weeks or so in the middle of the season.
Brees refuses to resign after I offered him the "fair offer".. Guess I'll be replacing my QB this offseason too.

Injuries are rediculous and I don't know how to fix it. Turned the slider down to 35 a few weeks ago and just had my QB go out for 27 weeks, along with duke Johnson for 6. I don't want to turn them off but it's just too much. Every single injury is for at least six weeks.

Still has the problem of losing connection during the middle of a franchise game, not saving any of your current game and causing you to restart

Their servers have been terrible IMO. I'd complete a game and then it wouldn't count and EA would sign me out.
Posted on 8/31/16 at 2:50 pm to theducks
Yea, I just looked up ea server issues and apparently they've been having issues with all their game servers this afternoon. Not just exclusive to madden
