I suspect he's just running money plays like HB toss and stretch and when throwing he's abusing the CPU zone with corner routes. Madden is what you make of it. I'm having a blast under all pro with tweaked sliders as the Browns.

Can you list the sliders. I'm having some issues this year on all pro, that i didn't have last year.

Also anyone played with the saints in an offline franchise. Kikaha is still showing on the injured list in year two and it shows that he has 0 weeks left until he returns

Just search operation sports forums. They have a whole section dedicated to just sliders. I don't remember the exact ones I'm using, but there are tons to pick from.

Before you start the franchise there is an option to turn off current injuries. Try that.

Update on franchise.

Browns win the super bowl.

I finished off the season 14-2, which was good enough for 1st in the AFC.

RG3 went down with an injury mid season that sidelined him for the season. Kessler took over for him and filled in nicely. CRowell turned into a beast running the ball, having to fill in for duke Johnson who was hurt most of the damn season.

I thought I had no chance of winning the super bowl, being that nearly every game all season was close. Didn't think I'd be able to pull of wins against the best in the league. Played the Patriots first and eeked out a 2 point victory.

Conference championship was against the chiefs. For the first time all season my defense was absolutely lights out. I jumped on them early and never looked back. Moved on to the Supr bowl against the Seahawks. Again my defense was dominate. It was a closer game, but never in much doubt. Browns are super bowl Champs with a very young and shitty team.

My olb that I picked in the first round was a stud and ended the season rated 88.

My off season was not quite as great as the first. After signing everybody else from my current team I was left without a ton of cap space. Signed a better #2 corner, but that's about it.

Drafting was also not that great. I decided not to resign RG3 and stick with Kessler and try to see what else I could do with that position. Couldn't get one in FA so I went with the draft. Got a rookie with the last pick of the first round. He was rated 77 to Kesslers 80, but started him anyway. My 3 other picks are just back ups.

Season 3 is starting off a little slower. I'm really struggling on defense. Won game 1 but the Ravens, who signed Adrian Peterson, punished me in game 2. Played the Saints in week 3 and Ingram also put it to me, but I kicked a last second FG to win.

My new QB is doing pretty damn good. Will need to find a way to improve my defense though.

Also had over 100 mill so I went with a total rebuild of my stadium. Will give the people of Cleveland something to be proud of. Have no idea how all the rebuilding stuff will go, but I'm sure I'll find out in the upcoming weeks.

Nice write up. Seem's like you're having fun. Are you playing All-Pro (you may have put that earlier in thread but i'm not going back to read!)? What kind of sliders are you using?

I enjoy the realism of the game while some people want to rush for 300 yards per game and find that fun. To each their own..... When I saw you went 14-2, I almost closed the thread because I thought it was going to be one of the "my RB rushed for 3,000 yards...." posts. But i'm glad I stuck with it. Seems like you're not blowing out your opponents and most of the games probably have realistic stats.

I'm still in season 1 of my franchise with the Falcons. Don't get to play my offline franchise as when I do get a chance to play, i'm playing in my online franchise(s). Or I play FIFA because the games are shorter. I also know that when the final rosters come out later this week that i'm going to restart my franchise so I don't want to get too attached to my team!

Keep us updated on your franchise. Hopefully the new stadium works out for you.

Yes. All-Pro slider set that I found on operation sports.

No. I think Crowell rushed for a little over 1,000. I could get 150 or so yards a game, but that's rushing it 25 or so times a game. It differs.. Some games I throw for 400 and rush for 100. Others I'll throw for 200 and rush for 200. It all depends.

Most of my games are down to the wire. Not all come down to the last drive, but it's usually anybodies game in the 4th quarter.

Is this game worth buying?

I still believe NFL 2k5 is the greatest football game made. I didn't buy last years madden, but I'm thinking about giving this one a shot.

Best since Madden 12 IMO.

ETA: the Saints aren't on the best team in the game so idk how realistic it'll be for you

That's to be expected, man.

I think I could fix their problems, though.

I don't know why I buy this game every year. I love it but it frustrates me to no end . Played my first online game last night

I got the cards going against steelers game 1. Up 7-0 he throws a post and I CRUSH brown with badger and he fumbles. 2 of my players run right past it then deangelo Williams runs all the way down field scoops it and takes it 70 yards to the house

THEN. I got a 3rd and 10 in my own territory hit a wide open Gresham on a seam route it bounces off his hands 20 feet in the air and gets picked giving him easy field position to take the lead. Meanwhile my dbs are letting pick 6s hit them right in the face mask

Already about to break my controller

I blocked a field goal only for them to pick it up and bring it in for a touchdown.

I did one with the Saints and won two Super Bowls. Had OBJ, Ezekiel Elliot, and Brandon Weeden as my big three. Very good team as everyone was 80 OVR or better except Weeden. Traded Brees for Cutler and two 80 LBers. Traded Cutler after the 1st year for two 80 CBs. Basically had no picks either.

Got bored and started a new one with 49ers. Cut Kaep, signed Vick. Traded for Jarvis Landry and DeAnthony Thomas. Also grabbed an 86 Guard and a 81 Guard (Collins from Cowboys). Really strong line, Landry catches everything and Thomas is good in the slot. Hyde struggles in the run game though, I just can't get it going. Hyde is a beast catching out of the backfield as he is top 50 NFL in receiving yards and catches. Potentially goin to make a trade for Jeremy Hill or I might have already done it. We are 4-1. Our Defense is Terrible, no one above 78 OVR. Traded most away for my offense I wanted.

Vick lighting up NFL. Good line gives him time, scramble out and finds Thomas or Landy on a broken play.

I have a question that others might be able to help out with.

In season 4 I am now struggling with cap space. Won't be able to re sign many players at all that are ready to negotiate.

I was considering trading away some people to clear cap space. When going to trade most of the guys have a cap penalty associated with them. If I trade away someone with say a 1.5 mill cap penalty for a guy with a 60k cap penalty will that actually cost me 1.5 mill in lost cap space, putting me in a worse spot??

If so, any suggestions on how to actually free up a lot of space?

I was finally getting my team to a decent spot, but worried I'll have some big roster shake ups not being able to bring back guys, or have the space to sign people in the offseason from free agency.

You won the superbowl in year 1.. Players are wanting more money because of your success and knowing they can get it elsewhere if you don't give it to them. Time to rebuild and suffer through a few seasons and get some low cost veterans to fill in.

I won the super bowl in year 2...having to scrap a young team that I've just built sucks.

My roster already is not that great. Having to go downhill from here would be shitty.

Is it worth it on PS3?

I converted to PC gaming a few years ago but may dust off my ps3 for some madden since real football may be quite depressing this fall

How is the QB development?

I always want to develop a QB but can never hit the big numbers due to only playing 5 or 6 minute quarters, so even though he may have a great game he's not throwing 400yards and 5 TD type games so progress is always really slow. Have they altered it at all so stat targets are altered at all?

Haven't had a madden for 2 years, but love doing a fantasy draft and only picking players under 25

There's an XP slider. You can adjust it to your liking

Getting ready to start week 7 in online franchise with 6 other friends. We chose teams from different divisions and I went with Arizona. All Pro, no adjustments to the sliders. I'm 6-0 right now and have traded for Gary Barnidge and also traded Michael Floyd for Navarro Bowman. As far as the future goes, my best 6 players on defense are all under contract for at least 3 more years.

Hoping Palmer and Fitz don't retire on me after year 1. Created a custom head coach and plan on using XP for the QB and WR retirement persuasion perks just for that. FYI this is the first Madden game I've ever owned and am really, really enjoying it.

Anyone having an issue with getting strip sacked alot. It seems every time my qb gets hit he looses the ball and with the Saints O line, it happens often.

I may need to adjust the fumble slider, but is it up or down to get less fumbles?
