If that discussion went a little longer than 30 seconds then your office is full of morons.

Risher would tell you himself the answer is Hodson and it's not even close.

I enjoy Risher on the radio. The first season was a learning curve, but he's gotten a lot better.

If you search "Alan Risher LSU" a thread from 2011 comes up about Risher reminding everyone repeatedly that he played QB for LSU. Fast forward 5 years later and he's still doing the same thing. Pay attention to how many times he says the next time he's on. It's just funny now. I ain't even mad at him.

Hodson is the best QB we ever had, so Hodson.

Hodson to Davis. The best connection at LSU.

2nd would be Davey to Reed.

I no nobody is really questioning who was better. But here are the stats with Wickersham's for comparison:

Touchdown Tommy stats:

Wickersham:

Risher stats:

Seam to recall Wickersham being a streaky passer when he was on he was "on".

Hodson with the talent the team has today (and a coach willing to cut him loose) would be a Heisman candidate. He was the best QB in the SEC every year he played.

I'm still scratching my head as to why Hodson didn't pan out in the NFL>

I'll forever worship Alan Risher for some big Tiger victories that I witnessed in person while I was a student:
1980 Ole Miss, Auburn
1982 Oregon St Florida, Florida State, Bama at Tuscaloosa, Nebraska (almost)

But Hodson was more naturally talented. Risher was a bulldog....

He didn't have an NFL arm.
