Haha I just find it hard to believe that some of these athletes recover that quickly just on "progenex." I firmly believe a majority of them are taking something to help in that aspect.

I mean, the guys are yoked but they don't necessarily pass the eyeball juice test. The women? Yeah they do.

50% or more of athletes in any high level compitition like this will be on something. just the way it is. If CF ever starts doing USADA testing like the UFC, you would see the same kind of results....athletes popping all over.

doesn't matter though. Its their body their choice and its just another tool in the toolbox for athletes at that level imo.

Of course I love to watch people do inhuman shite and I don't worry about comparing myself with the best athletes in their sport. I could see how others feel differently though, especially those following the rules and have been coming up just short on getting to the games while losing to somebody that is "on"

WTF...I would pound that til I bled.

I honestly would be very surprised if very many of the woman are on any steroids. no physique jumps out at me as that. None have masculine features in the face or have had huge jumps in body comp or big changes to their faces through the years.

Now it would not surprise me to see most of the game competitors male and female are on atleast a low dose of hgh for injury and recovery reasons.

Fraser should walk away with this thing as long as he performs as well as he's capable of doing in the "heavy barbell" events and doesn't come in dead-last in the sprint event (that killed him last year). It's not like he didn't have good cardio before - he finished 2nd or 3rd in last year's Murph as well. The difference is (1) he finished college this year and was able to dedicate more time to training and (2) supposedly, he finally got serious about his nutrition. Great to see Bridges doing so well; he also now can train full-time after retiring from the Navy (he was an active-duty SEAL when he started competing; I think he was Reserve the last few years). Fikowski is really intriguing but I suspect his current standing is largely due to the cardio-intensive nature of the first three days. Ben Smith and Noah Ohlsen are in striking distance but they'll need Fraser to fade big-time in order to pass him.

On the women's side, the "Dottirs" are sitting pretty after events that usually aren't their strong suit. I suspect they'll both jump into the top 3 by tomorrow and one of them will win it all. Also interested to see if Brooke Wells can crack the top-5. She is still pretty new to the sport but has a really well-rounded skill set (former track athlete) and should do well with the heavy barbell events. Lauren Fisher is probably under-achieving but is by no means out of it. Not sure what happened to CLB. Was 2014 a fluke for her?

The year CLB won was the perfect storm for her, i think alot of the big names m,issed or were injured that year if i recall correctly.

Most I've ever done is 415. My current rep calculator says I should be able to get 425 and hopefully the atmosphere and energy would help, but damn, that ladder is inhuman.

It's taken me a LONG time to get my deadlift where it's at, no clue how people get it into the 500s and 600s of deadlifts.
