Is it time to say it yet?
Sturridge is a terrible fit in Klopp's system.
With Firmino, Coutinho, Sane, and Lalana, its like swift moving rapids.
With Sturridge in, it becomes more like molasses.
Time for a mutual parting of ways in January and give Ingsy his shot?

I could be convinced it was a good idea if we got a good fee.. I just don't want him going to a top 6 side..

No way... the guy is playing with the reserves

Yeah it makes me sad but he seems to be done. He's a shadow of the player we saw, even last year.

They spend a fortune this summer and bring in the greatest manager in the history of football. During the same time we actually MAKE money and they come to our place and don't even attempt to get three and are ecstatic. To hear their players talk after you'd think they won. Holy shite we are definitely going in the right direction and I guess they just need to spend around 800 more this summer to try to get a goal against us.

Yes to the first, no to the second, let Firmino or Origi lead the line

At least will be prepared to play against West Brom after playing against West Brom earlier today

I think very clearly they were defending and counting on some magic from Zlatan and Pogba.
I think Can was fairly poor - especially in the first half. He slowed things down when they didn't need to be. He made bad passes. His touch was terrible. He was better in the second half - interestingly, mainly when he dribbled - but he looked like he was in pre-season, which is understandable.
Studge doesn't look any better. Bad touches, lack of running, slow in possession. He's playing his way out of the side.
Not sure if Lallana coming on and our improvement was due to Lallana himself or that Man U was clearly tiring.
I do think that Cou can be great in a midfield three, but perhaps Klopp has too many responsibilities for him. He played well, but the things he's great at he didn't have the time or position to do.

My bad for the confusing phrasing... did NOT intend to imply selling Studge and bringing up Ings to start and lead, but to give him his shot on the bench and for sub minutes (and in case of injury to the other attackers, god forbid).

I do think Ings needs a bit of game time at some point. I think he could be a guy that exceeds his own talents in our system based upon his work rate, etc. We'll never really know until he's played though. It may be tough this year due to the limited fixtures though.

frick me what a time to be alive! United scared to play for 3 at Anfield gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

yes he is... that was pretty evident early on when Klopp got here

it's BEEN time... i've been banging that drum for a while now, and though it wasn't always because of the fit in Klopp's system, i do feel that he will continue to lose value the more we put him out there and he does nothing for us...

If Sturridge leaves
does Ings take his spot?
it would leave us a little thin when the inevitable
injury takes place
