I mean, currently we have the following who can play striker -

Firmino
Sturridge
Origi
Ings
Mane

Selling Studge wouldn't dent that too much this year (no Europe, etc). However, I would think we may have to bring in someone next year, possibly a younger guy who can grow into the team over a few years?

ETA - not necessarily saying I'm on board with selling Studge - I try not to react to 5-10 game stretches for players who have already proven a high level of skill. He's clearly struggling but I would favor seeing if Klopp can get him back on track. Less games makes that harder though.

If we could get that much for Studge, I'd sell him in a heartbeat...

No way we'd get Alaba...

I still have alot to learn about how the transfer market works for soccer in Europe but if we could sell him for 70 mil, could we go get Suarez back? It seems Suarez has a special place in his heart for Liverpool and he is the perfect striker for Klopp's system. Sturridge just seems like a bad fit for the high press/pressure game Klopp brings.

I'd like to hope that if Suarez ever decides to leave Barca he'd come back to Liverpool, but he's busy winning every trophy on the planet right now. Now if we continue our trajectory and show ambition in the transfer market once we're back playing in Europe...BRING BACK EL PISTOLERO!!

a) We'd never get 70 million for Sturridge
b) Suarez would cost more than that + Why would he come back here when he is winning big at Barca + He just said this week, he hopes to retire at Barca
c) I can't see Klopp spending 70 million on one player

I didn't know what Suarez would be worth in the market and I didn't see that quote. Bummer.

Completely agree and so far he seems pretty damn good at finding value with the money he spends.

Watching Spurs and Bournemouth

I haven't watched a ton of Bournemouth matches this year, but when I have, I can't say that Ibe has looked good in any of them really. Obviously he has a ton of natural talent and athleticism, but he's having a terrible time of putting it all together.

I'm still pulling for him but for now it looks like selling him for £15m was genius
