Do you feel the urge to spread the Gospel or is it just superficial/ego thing? If your faith is not strong, your preaching will suffer and people will notice.

Ministry isn't for you if it's a fall back option.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a masters or college education to become an ordained minister

You'd be wrong, then.

Here we go again. How does science preclude faith?

Serious question- Have you felt called or is this strictly a business decision? I think there should be some inner push from God, not just use the ministry as a fall back imo.

just curious, how much does magic school cost these days?

Depends. I have dreams of going to Yale Divinity ($23.4k), but will probably end up going to Duke Divinity ($21.5k). That's if I choose to take this route.

You need a masters degree to be ordained.

Religion is a great tax-free racket to get in on. Good call on your part

To be ordained in any major denomination, not bullshite. To call yourself a minister and hold church in a garage, well anyone can do that.

Yes, and I agree. I have a love for teaching, and now a love for Christ and his church. I wouldn't do this strictly for buisness, and will wind up doing some form of ministry even if I'm just a struggling academic, who leads a small group at his house on Wednesdays. The only buisness decision is whether or not I invest in a Theological education.

No caveat. I said ordained all along. They go to seminary and you need an undergraduate degree prior to entering seminary.

If you plan on asking people for money to preach to them, don't do it unless you plan to live a life of poverty.

Nothing lower than a rich preacher.
