I'm currently obtaining my MA in Philosophy. I still want to be a professor, but with my new found belief in the divine, I'm thinking about going to a divinity school to obtain my M.Div., before pursuing my PhD. So I'm kinda thinking if my professor shtick doesn't work out, I'll fall back on bein a minister. Or I might do both? Don't know though. Any advice, OT?

This is a strange troll, but not necessarily bad. Let's see how it develops.

its not even a strange troll. I give the OP props for creativity. But the subject matter is too thin. Nobody in their right mind would come here for advice on this.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a masters or college education to become an ordained minister

Not really, he'd be asking about becoming a politician if that were the case.

Are you prepared to wear shiny suits and shiny shoes at the expense of your congregation? If so, proceed sir.

I posted on r/Christianity asking for advice. I'm not expecting any serious answers here on the OT, just wanted some feedback. This is a real dilemma that I am facing, and I am consulting legitimate sources- my professors, my grandfather who taught church history and was an ordained minister, etc.

not sure how a bunch of smart asses slamming a supposedly serious decision you have to make is going to help. But best of luck. I hope whatever decision you make works out fo you.

Well, you're wrong. The orthodox, anglican, and catholic churches all have a very rich, deep intellectual tradition, and require higher education to be ordained. Even most relevant Southern Baptist churches require an M.Div from one of their (admittedly illegitimate) seminairies, in order to be a Senior Pastor.
