Upped the carbs (under 150 most days) for some "cheats" while still counting calories. Still losing. Can't complain.

We had friends over. I expected a little cheat but I let it turn into going over my calories by about 1300. The good news is the my SO signed up for a weight loss challenge with $1200 for first prize.. So we are about to be strict AF for 6 weeks

2 Bottles of dry red wine, one six pack of miller lite, and three generous pours of scotch.

Plus two "roasts" that I threw on the grill as steaks. A meat eater heaven...

*For the whole weekend.

This is me

July 2015: 6 feet tall, 205 pounds, mid 20% body fat
January 4 2016: 188 pounds, lower 20Z% body fat
July 4 2016: 155 pounds, 11% body fat

What a journey. In July 2015 I realized I was fat. For the rest of 2015 all I did was practice portion control and I lost 17 pounds. Then for my new years resolution I decided to go all in with a cut. Shed 30 pounds in 6 months. It was agonizing but worth it in every way. Best thing I have ever done. I feel great, confidence is high.

It's all diet. I lifted 3x a week, running at the track on Saturday Mornings.

Cheating is fine just make sure you balance it and limit your cheats. From January 4-July 4 I cheated on MLK Day, for an entire week when I went home to Texas in February(ended up only gaining 1.5 pounds when all was said and done), the first 2 days of March Madness, mid April when my company rented a suite at a Mariners game, and Memorial Day. That's it. Every day I cheated I would only eat 400 calories the next day to help soften the blow.

I started a lean bulk cycle last week after going maintenance for a few weeks which is where I am now.

That dinner you posted on this Instagram looked pretty damn good.

Crazy how good I feel after only eating one meal the day before.

I devoured the shite out of that meal. Will eat again. One $3 can of crushed tomatoes from Costco turns into like 10 cups of delicious marinara

Hmmm I had a cheat weekend. Now I have 3 pounds to get off to get back to my low. Last time I cheated it was 4 pounds and only took a couple of days.

Usually takes 2 or so days for everything to clear out and get back to either A) Where you were or B) Where your new weight is.. because a whole cheat weekend could easily lead to a pound or two of fat, especially if you're like me and drink and eat way too much in combination

I refuse to log the gains in MFP so I will just starve to get back down to where I can log my weight again.

I don't usually log a gain unless I've been at that new weight for a week or so.

My girl does this short rib recipe that involves Italian tomatoes....damn good...we use zoodles, zucchini noodles, instead of pasta. I go insane on it.

My takeaway from "dieting" is when she is gone, nearly straight carnivore, and lower carb, sub 40, grams when she is gone.

I haven't given up on putting on muscle, but work has been keeping me at later hrs. So I clamp down on how I eat. I still drink wine and bourbon to no end, but retard the beers and sugar
