Yeah, me too. I'm kinda concerned about the hobo camp behind the Walmart at Haden Rd. They've been putting in some serious work lately. Would hate to see it all for naught...

She fine. Her makeup makes her look a little like a porcelain doll in person, though.

that's right by where the dude was drowning and got saved by the TV reporter.

He didn't save him....well, not unless "saved" me telling from a safe distance to get out of the sinking car.

Saving would have been to get his wimpy ads out there and pulled the guy from the car.

I got that too.

It was at the Christmas Moody Garden lighting. Should have seen all the Mexican guys getting pics of her "with their daughter".

I'm in Seabrook, I haven't ventured out yet, but I don't see any flooding in the immediate area yet.

My office is at 45 and the beltway South. I figure getting to work would be fine, but I don't want to get stuck there.

My employee lives in your area and made it all the way to downtown before getting stuck. You should be fine to get to the beltway as long as you can get to I45.

That was the first thing I noticed. It definitely was shallow enough for him to walk all the way out.

Everytime we play the Golden State Warriors in playoffs this nonsense happens in Htown

hope we pull off the W like last years flooding shenanigans.

He was just in complete shock and froze up.

I know the reporter didn't really go out there and save him. But if he wasn't there to talk him through it with him being completely locked up, I think the old man would have died.

He had just been farting in his Prius, and was hesitant to abandon all that wonderful Smug.

The problem was, like it often is, that the old guy was in shock. A healthy person in a normal frame of mind would have never drowned in that water. They would have just stood up and walked out. However, that old guy was trying to freestyle swim (and not well) and from his facial expression he seemed like he was out of his mind. That's the type of person who ends up a drowning statistic in this kind of thing. It's not typically urban kayaker doing Darwin Award level gnarly stuff, it's normally just average people whose minds go blank when they encounter a surprising situation requiring action. He probably did save this guy's life.
