I would say hands-down, but I would not mean it.

Cause Richard's is damned good, too.

Dons in reserve is the best I ever had and can find. Jacobs in Laplace is a close second.

I keep seeing people talk about veron and I think their sausage and aundoulle just taste fake. Not really smoked.

No, not for me. I like Bailey's, Jacob's, Wayne Jacob's, Don's and Veron's - in that order. And by Veron's I mean the single store in Lutcher, not the supermarket brand that had food safety issues.

And Veron's in Lutcher sells jambalaya every Saturday that is some of the best jambalaya I've ever had.

D&J's grocery in St.Amant. Best i've eaten. I use it regularly. $5 lb.
