Is it just me or is this the least hyped, least talked about National Championship game in some while. Sure, we've had some epic NFL Playoff games and storylines (Bengals collapse, sub zero temps in Minnesota) that have stolen the show. That being said, I hardly notice any ads or anyone on ESPN and other sports shows even mentioning the game.

The game probably isn't getting as much pub nationally because it's a glorified SEC championship game.

Clemson is in the south and plays like an SEC team.

People might also be tired of Alabama.

I'm sure the ratings will still be high, but interest is definitely down from a year ago.

Blame it on Saban. Can't wait for him to retire, relegating Bama to mediocrity, so that the other teams can get on with the program and have a shot. Alabama is a pro-team masquerading as a college team. 'The process' makes me want to puke.

Its not going to be a good game.
Its like the Notre Dame vs Bama game.

Notre Dame went undefeated and everyone thought, hey since this team is undefeated, THEY WILL WIN.

shite I do not think Clemson will do good at all against Bama.

Dynasties and the same teams dominating aren't good for sports generally. Especially when one is from the Deep South.

It's extreme fatigue with Bama and Saban. People are fricking tired of their shite as they have ruined parity in the SEC and college football as a whole.

I honestly forgot there was still a game... Once NFL playoffs start I think that takes over for most people.

Being that both teams are from the south and the favorite is from the SEC it's not nationally popular. Doesn't help that a large portion of the country has "Bama and SECFatigue" either.

In all seriousness, why should anyone outside of TV executives give one shite about what the ratings will be?

Everyone knows Bama is going to mudhole Clemson and they have zero national appeal.

As other posters have stated, the BCS was better. No one beside die hard college football fans, Clemson fans and Alabama fans care about the game tomorrow.

The playoff date will have to be moved around to make this thing work.

i watched a lot more bowl games than I thought I would this year.

but usually the games I picked to watch weren't much of a game.

the allure just isn't there for me in this game tomorrow night.

I'll be looking up and catching glimpses of it when I'm out on the town tomorrow night but won't watch it closely unless Clemson hangs in there.

all the bama people already have this one in the bank... it would be funny as hell if they lost but I don't see it happening.

when is the last time bama lost in a national title game anyway? the 70's?

frick this i'm out of here...
