The process doesn't work. Being the worst team in the league 4 years in a row, and no signs of improving bc they've drafted a bunch of injury prone centers, traded away strong prospects like MCW, and have no chance at free agents when other players don't believe in the process. I'd be insanely pissed if I was the owner, and they are proof that this super tanking crap doesn't work. You can't take year after year and suddenly become the Thunder without some insanely great drafting

What year are we on the Hinkie rebuild? Seems like an eternity. I'm sure the Philly fans are "trusting the process".

3rd year idea is true. But its a problem if that guy is Noel, for one.

Why? He could have easily been ROY last year and his impact on the defensive end for a guy is age is pretty damn ridiculous.

We've basically seen 3 of the guys they've drafted. MCW is terrible, Noel is in his second season, and Okafor is just getting started with his rookie season.

I feel like people have really jumped the gun on the whole, "look at these idiots, this will never work."

They've drafted 1. Noel just had a freak injury, hasn't missed really any time since recovering from that. Okafor doesn't have any injury problems.

MCW is horrible

I've been pretty against the Genius Hinkie narrative most of the time but a majority of the people think he's finally cracked the NBA's rebuilding code and is smarter than everyone else.

Tanking for high draft picks isn't really a strategy, it's just playing roulette with a billionaire's money.

The 76ers are just over 2 years into the rebuild. It's laughable how every critic of the process screws that number up.

They have been openly tanking for 3 and a half years with no clear end in sight. Philly fans have been cheated out of a watchable team and if this doesn't end in a championship in the next 3-5 years, everyone in that organization should be banned from basketball.

This isn't really true. There are much more people critical of the process than in favor of it at this point. Only time Hinkie was hailed as a genius was the Holiday trade, which has worked out pretty much as predicted.

They started tanking at the end of the 12-13 season. They've had 3 drafts since the process.

So they are just starting the 3rd year of the rebuild. Hinkie got the job in May of 2013.

It's one thing if you're last years Lakers after the loss of Kobe. But 3 years and counting should be considering stealing from the fans.

Imagine if more teams did what they're doing. NBA regular season would become unwatchable.

3rd year of openly tanking and robbing fans of a watchable team in Philadelphia.

Nobody cared when the 76ers were "watchable" and mediocre for the decade after Iverson's run. Hope you will be locked into the Kings and Bobcats playoff push since they are rebuilding 'the right way'.

Opinion is starting to change but up until recently that wasn't the case at all. Everyone was living by "trust the process"

It's the NBA so yes I will be. Tell me you aren't advocating that more teams copy the 6ers process? The NBA regular season would suck if half the teams did what the 6ers are doing.

I don't care how teams build their teams. There aren't enough patient owners for tanking to become an epidemic that takes over the league.

I'm just talking about how every year they're bad, you can make the 3-year argument, because there's always another high draft pick on the way.

Noel's not a building block. He's an awful offensive player, and he's regressed on defensive this year, though I don't doubt he'll be fine there. He's a role player on a good team.

If they're waiting on Noel's 3rd year before they start making judgments on the process, they're in trouble. Or maybe just Hinkie.

They have to be waiting on Okafor, Embiid and company.

LOL.

We're in year 6 of Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka. And they had Harden for a couple of years.
