LOL.

We're in year 6 of Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka. And they had Harden for a couple of years.

Not the point. When you openly tank, you bring the title or bust mentality on yourself.

Noel's not a building block.

He is like the definition of one. An athletic defensive anchor. We've seen many teams succeed building around a guy like that.

he's regressed on defensive this year

They have the 2nd best defense in the entire league when Okafor goes out and it is just him.

I'm sure title is the goal. Thinking that a title run will happen with a bunch of guys under 25 is laughable.

Seems a little too early to make that call on the Sixers when we literally haven't seen half the lottery guys they've drafted play in the NBA yet.

I don't think that. I hope the process fails miserably.

Just wondering because you excused their tanking last year. I just find it funny that people get up in arms about the 76ers strategy but excuse the other teams every year who are just as bad as the 76ers.

They tanked after Kobe went down. They went after free agents this summer. Pretty obvious it wasn't some long term "strategy"

Well, Hinkie's in huge trouble then, if out of all these prospects and picks, its Noel they're waiting on.

Thats a whole other problem in itself. Okafor and Noel seem to awful together. There are other numbers showing regression defensively, including his basic defensive rating and:
quote:

Wow. Minimum 25 defended possessions, Nerlens Noel has the second-worst PPP in the league, 1.125 allowing 65% shooting.
As of a little over a week ago.

Then theres:
quote:

Kumar ?@FearTheBrown
Nerlens Noel is on pace to have the worst offensive impact of all time per OBPM for players who play at least 30mpg.
I'm hit or miss on some certain advanced metrics. But I know being the worst of all time at something isn't good.

And yet they won't be any better than the 76ers this year. They were either delusional about making a playoff push or they signed those crappy free agents to deceive their fans into thinking they were trying to win. Don't know why either is better than the 76ers strategy.

They went after Aldridge. Obviously, they were trying to win. And they will be much better than the 6ers next year.

And the 76ers went after jimmy butler. Probably would have traded him for 2nd rounders though

And no Tim Duncan or Kawhi Leonard.

Watched the whole half--I feel kinda bad. Philly coach Brett Brown was a longtime Spurs assistant.

It's not often you see an NBA team (I use that term loosely in this instance) eviscerated like this in their own crib.
