Besides the obvious turkey, stuffing, and all that?

My dad makes my grandma's sweet potato casserole that is amazing. I don't know what's in it (besides sweet potatoes), but it's amazing. Someone in my family also brings homemade sausage and chicken gumbo that I enjoy more than the turkey.

Cranberry sauce and cornbread dressing are must-haves for me. And wine.

Rolls to sop up the gravy and mushy sides are a must too.

This is actually one of the things I could do without. I don't like vegetables done with sugar/cinnamon/etc., and most sweet potato casseroles are.

It's the only think I actually like. I would not mind if the rest of the usual stuff was never served again.

Homemade noodles. One of my old neighbors from when we were kids posted this table of noodles for their family Thanksgiving (it's a big family):

As I have gotten older, I dont even eat one piece of turkey. When I go somewhere different for thanksgiving I always hear "No you have to try my turkey, you will LOOOOOOVE it."

No I wont. The truth is turkey just isnt very good

My brother won't eat turkey either.

I don't love it, but I'll eat it. I like it with a dip of gravy and a dip of cranberry sauce.

Turkey is a good vehicle for cranberry relish or sauce or under some gravy or cornbread dressing.

I wish my husband liked homemade cranberry relish, but he wants the sauce the way his mama made it, with can marks still on it.

Mac 'n cheese, ham, cornbread dressing. Those are my must haves. Fresh green beans if I can find some pretty ones, are also on my preferred list.

He and I would get along just fine.

I'm ready for Friday so I can make my cornbread dressing waffle, turkey, cole slaw, sliced cranberry sauce and gravy sandwich.

Cornbread dressing with giblet gravy and oyster dressing are what I look forward to the most every year.
