This. And the other poster(s) hit it on the nose that it's not Alleva's fault Miles screwed up the DC hire. Steele being a trainwreck was predictable from Day 1.

It was also time for Chavis to go and to the poster who said "bleep his fat arse" or something along those lines, I wholeheartedly agree.

Chavis had become complacent, the situation we're in with our front 7 is a direct result of his laziness. I have no problem with not giving a guy like that 3 guaranteed years, frick his fat arse

I agree & am somewhat shocked most fans don't realize we have the highest paid assistants in the country. The ROI just isn't there.

Did you really say the coach who has led LSU through its greatest stretch in the history of football at LSU "stinks at coaching"? Man, that's harsh and so off base. You may not like the results of the last two weeks (no LSU fan does) but you have lost all credibility. Boy we really do have some entitled fans who think any idiot could get 10 wins a year in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the country.

Well you originally responded to me,

Actually, I wasn't including you, I read between the lines of your post, and saw that you were probably not fooled by the early season success, I can't really say that I was not fooled and thinking with fan mind more than my regular mind.

All I had to do is read page 1 to get SOME comfort regarding the general nature of my fellow LSU football fanatics.

While the argument over Miles' coaching ability rages now, and will do so long after he's gone, consensus seems to have been reached regarding Alleva. One doesn't really have to keep tally marks to determine whether our fans think that the Subject of this post is spot on regarding the snake moniker.

As he was hired, the ONLY argument that made his filling of the AD position stomachable was the "I wouldn't like being judged (career wise) based on my worst decision." That's how I mentally justified that Lacrosse or soccer or whatever group of white affluent kids that raped the poor black stripper deal - "justify" being a euphemism for "allowing myself not to vomit at the thought of our AD being willing to throw 12/15 affluent white kids under the bus so as to not look like the affluent, racist, and unreasonable person that, ya know, all white people of authority are when they get the chance to screw over someone on AA decent." I just have a feeling he'll screw this up worse than anyone could imagine.

Through all of this, I have not seen 1 thread where the players were blamed, I probably missed those, but with all of his success, Les looks totally unprepared A LOT

That is like saying that Mack Brown is a terrible coach. He may have ended on a low note and overstayed his welcome, but at one time he was a great coach. He just hung on too long. I think there are a lot of similarities between Brown and Miles. You don't get to championship games and win titles if you can't coach at all, but wants the drive and the skills start to diminish, it's time to move on or someone else will make that decision for you.

I don't even know Alleva, no way I could say that he sucks at what he does. I didn't even go to LSU, but I can say this, I have been a fan as long as I can remember, I'm 53, and had we not won 2 NC since 2003, I would not be so unhappy with anything about LSU football in the last 12 years.

This fan base, myself included has become very spoiled, and that is not a knock on the fan base, it's what happens when you win National Championships, the bar is raised to an almost unreachable height.

If Alleva hires Jimbo Fisher, I'll be first in line to sing his praises.

I won't hold my breath.

If an individual or group is going to put up the money to buy out Miles' contract plus cover the $5M for Fisher's buyout, then said person or group should have final say so on the replacement. Then leave it to Alleva to work out the details.

Glen Dildo wants Miles as HC so he has fodder to make fun of and criticize....he couldn't do that under Saban....

I don't understand then why he gave Les the extension? He should have called his bluff when the whole Arkansas thing happened. It just doesn't add up.
