Just Dropped a doe for some freezer meat. Can't believe I didn't miss with last nights hangover going full bore right now. Hat that's a good deer.

Had to walk a mile out of the woods. Rain water has the creeks still rising and crossing got too deep for the 4 wheeler during the hunt. Had to take the long way around by foot

Birds are thick in Central TX. Saw a few hundred birds. Teal, greys, mallards, pintail, wigeon and woodies

Nothing dropped this morning. Apparently it looks like the middle of April down there it's so green, so the deer aren't too interested in the feeders yet. The bucks are up and moving though which is a good sign.

Been sitting on the ground all morning on a shooting lane. Had a couple 4 pts come through a couple hours ago.

Got up long enough to go take a leak and eat some hoghead cheese and get a more comfortable chair to sit in. Back at it now trying to decide whether to stay put or go try another spot

What part of Illinois are you in? I'm headed to Pittsfield week after next and I've never been to Illinois.

Schwacker broadhead?

Moved to a ladder stand in a hardwood bottom where it's raining acorns. Had 4 does slip through shortly after I settled in but nothing was chasing them even though we are in the rut here.

Did a little duck hunting for an hour first thing this morning. Then got the dogs out for some grouse and woodcock- didn't find any grouse

Nice job hat!

We hunted st mary parish marsh. 7 of us hunted 2 blinds. Had 34 teal ducks and 8 greys. Awesome morning. Best we had out there in 10 years.
