I had a friend who at 22 went to Chappelle's Prom then four years later he went again with a new girl he was dating from there. We thought it was creepy, but in the 90's it was more common to see the age differences, that was before all the predators and stuff.

Some 23 year old guy was trying to date my HS gf when she was 17. It was really weird to be fending off a college graduate as a junior in HS.

Pretty much everyone (including her) found it bizarre, except for a couple of her dumb friends who thought dating an adult guy would be some sort of status symbol.

We used to laugh at the college aged guys that came back to our high school to date the girls. Losers

My father was 25 and my mother was 18 when they got married, the summer after she graduated from high school. The families had known each other for years - some of my mother's older sisters had babysat my father years before. When he got out of the Air Force, he came back home and mom was about ready to graduate. The rest is, as they say, history.

I guess every situation is different.

This situation is drastically different IMO.

In college, fine, let her do what she wants. While she's in HS and living under my roof, but 18 year old senior in HS daughter is not, under any circumstance dating a 26 year old.

The maturity level of a HS senior is soooo far below a 26 year old's in today's society that I would not be ok with it.

No.

20 years from now one will be 48, the other 40. Not a big difference at all.

Big Fish reference.

18 y/o freshman isn't weird

I would still say this is weird. Technically acceptable, but weird. Ideally you are talking about a person who would have been out of college for let's say about 4 years or so dating a college freshman.
