I don't think you'll find much argument there.

One draft class that hasn't even hit October yet isn't going to suddenly restore confidence.

Man frick Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis. Those two idiots just keep burying the Saints. You trade Hicks who had a ton of upside for a fricking 3rd string TE. Trades like these are why the Patriots are in the mix every year. Watch Hicks turn into an all pro.

Tyrunn Walker was a good player but was only a rotational guy?

Tyrunn Walker was always good.
Never understood getting rid of him.

Jordan has been really great though.

Let me remind everyone the patriots picked up Jonathan Sullivan from us too. But frick, let's stay completely irrational about the situation.

Hicks's upside certainly hasn't been on display in like a year plus.

Other players need a shot rather than a guy who half asses it.

Bill Johnson needs to be fired before he ruins some of the young Dlineman that showed promise in camp/preseason and even in the reg season(richardson/davidson/mabry)

yeah, Jordan has been steady.

but we've really struck out otherwise when it has come to building a good or even a mediocre D-line.

i'm not mad we traded Hicks, I just think its pathetic we can't develop talent or pick out good talent for the most part. D-line talent that is.

Just saying, but I did call during the preseason that Toon wouldn't be making the 53 and Bobby Richardson would be starting this season. BOOM! LINK

Hate to nitpick but technically it's not tanking if you couldn't have won the games anyway.

I think what we are doing can be more accurately described as "sucking"

Correct. What the Bears are doing is tanking

No offense, but Toon was pretty obvious.
Richardson was kinda "well, there's nobody else".

When you accurately predict the score of the Super Bowl, boom away. :

Exactly. But Benson as an owner has lost control of making these decisions. Therefore Payton and Loomis will continue to make every decision for the organization.

How quickly pathetic talent evaluation has sent a top tier team/organization into a free fall heading towards laughingstock status.

I would have rather made a deal for a TE that's actually a threat in the passing game, but some of the over reaction in this thread is pretty funny. Hicks was benched, and likely wasn't going to get much playing time going forward. This was pretty much one team's garbage for another's. This dude will probably get more playing time going forward than Hicks would have anyway. Nothing to get worked up over either way.

Agree with you. The front office sucks, but don't see how this is a reason.
