I love Barrett and his story...he definitely has a career ahead of him as a performer, as does Zach, BUT...

Final Four should've been Jordan, Emily Ann, Jeffrey, and Madi.

If Jordan DOESN'T win this season, this show is bullcrap. Jordan is THE Voice

I agree. All of them can have some sort of real career in the business.

And while I didn't expect Amy to win, her style is going to get her work. She's a "crooner" and that doesn't go too far on a show like The Voice (or, apparently, on this board ) But she has style and class. She'll be fine.

Yeah, Barrett snuck in there with the country voting bloc. Zach shouldn't have even been middle three, glad he didn't win the twitter save, it would have been an injustice to have him in the finals over Jeffery or even Madi.

I think Emily Ann is the only one with a chance to dethrone Jordan... but it's still a long shot.

Makes no sense at all. I can't recall whether they did this before...dropping 5 at once. I don't recall this happening.

I was surprised and thought it was kind of weird, as well, but the only explanation I could think of is that it gives a few of them a couple more performances. Nine of them got to give four performances since the lives began with the top 12. In years past when they send two home at a time (opposed to just one this year), only six people made it long enough to give four performances. Basically, sending five home at a time allowed three people to give extra performances and allow themselves more of a chance to display what they can do.

Hopefully that makes a little sense, as it felt kind of confusing to try and translate from my mind to the keyboard. I still do agree that sending five home at a time seems crazy, but them wanting to give a few top 12 finalists a couple extra performances is the only explanation I could think of.

And BTW, I am SHOCKED that Madi didn't make the finale. She absolutely deserved it over Barrett, but that's the country votes working their magic. If Jordan doesn't win, it would be a travesty, IMO.

I do not listen to country music, but Emily Ann seems legit, and she has the star "look" like Underwood did when she was on American Idol. Very marketable, and I would not be surprised to see her be successful.

The antithesis of this is Jordan. he does not seem marketable for anything but perhaps Broadway, and even though he can hit some high notes, I don't get the love.

If you look at the show as just a marketing tool to churn out artists that they can sign to shitty contracts, this makes all the sense in the world. More exposure for their product.

That does make sense, but I'd prefer that two go a show.

My sister, knowing that I've watched both The Voice and American Idol in the past, and then praised Emily West on America's Got Talent, called me after Jordan Smith's performance of Somebody to Love. I had never heard of the guy, having sworn off these types of shows a couple of years ago as stale entertainment. She asked me to YouTube some of his performances. So I did.

True singing talent is rarer than you think. There are greats... Freddie Mercury, Art Garfunkel, Elton John, Ray Charles... and many not-quite-so-greats... George Michael, Elvis Costello, John Forgerty...

For now I'm sticking with my assessment that Adam Lambert is the best singer to ever come out of one of these talent shows, but I am very impressed with Jordan Smith. I don't think I've ever seen a cover of a Queen song that I liked until now... Freddie made that near impossible.

Yeah, but Emily Ann is going to win... because country music voters dominate this show thanks to Blake.

Holy Shitavo! Jordan singing Climb Every Mountain was incredible. No way anyone else beats that performance other than Jordan himself.

And they still fricked it up IMO. They tweaked it? That guy can straight up do that song like Mercury. They should have let him. No extra high notes are needed. Just the fact that he could have gone note for note like Mercury would have been impressive.

It is one of my fave songs and that performance gave me chills. Then again, most of his performances do. I think Jordan by far has the best voice. Nobody is even close to his level. Emily Ann will give him a run for his money in terms of votes though. I hope he wins.

I think Emily Ann and Blake's duet was good.

I haven't been swayed by anyone else so far. I don't think anyone can touch Jordan's performance. I may watch it again when it's over. I got chills, too.

Jordan needs to win, he is hands down the best.

Holy Jabeesus. That was fantastic. The guy is unbelievable and I'd like to have his skin. He's got the best looking baby skin.

Good song choice for Emily Ann's last performance.

Emily Ann was great. Not close to Jordan, but she's really a ready made star. Great song choice to close the night. The two guys are way below her on the totem pole.

I think Jordan's skin is better than hers.

Just hand it to Jordan and be done with it. The best contestant in the history of the show.

As far as Emily Ann, as a country music fan, I still am not impressed. I much prefer the more traditional sound she's going for. But her voice is really thin with not much range. And there are a lot of notes she hits that are baaaaaaaaaaaaaad. "Blue Christmas" would have gotten her gonged on a different game show.

I haven't had a chance to watch all of last night's show. I've only seen a couple of the performances. Will watch the rest later and report back (I'm sure you all can't wait).

That said, my personal three favorites are Jordan, Emily Ann and Jeffery (that guy really does have exceptional control and a great voice even though it's not really my taste in music). I like Barrett, and I think he's talented, but he doesn't quite impress me as much as the other three.

And I was also thinking that Jordan is so unique (just in terms of the type and style of talent) that he almost shouldn't be in the same type of competition as the others. It's also going to be interesting to see what kind of career he has. How will he be marketed? What will he sing?

My wife and I still want to see him do a Barbra Streisand song on the show.

I think Emily Ann and Barrett have the best chances for commercial success... but this is The Voice so they'll probably have one single each then fade away into opening for the opening act for Florida Georgia Line or something.

Jordan needs to do Broadway... or gospel music.
