I'm still trying to figure out why we never use fournette as a pass option. Dallas used their rbs great the other night in the receiving game, would like to see him featured like that. Fournette is a beast receiver and we never just play action and dump it down to him or in the flats. This offense is so elementary it's ridiculous. These coaches get paid millions for the most basic shite. You have to sometimes use fournette as a receiver he was fricken great at it in high school.

He had several nice catches last year IIRC

There just weren't that many passes last game, we tried a screen to him but he was held, I think it'll be a pretty big part of the O going forward

Agreed. Fournette could be a serious mismatch against a LB.

WHY ISNT QUINN PLAYING
WHY ISNT GUICE GETTING MORE CARRIES
THEY SHOULD THROW IT MORE TO DIARSE
WHY ISNT FOURNETTE CATCHING PASSES
WHY ISNT CHARK PLAYING
THEY NEED TO THROW BALLS TO THE TIGHT ENDS

Apparently LSU fans think there is more than one football to go around

He was used a bit in the receiving game last year, especially for a true freshman. The long catch over the middle was beautiful. We threw the ball 14x last week, too early to judge on this year. We ran a screen for him, and he was held.

You're awful on every board. Not sure if you've said one thing positive about the Pels, Saints, or Tigers.

Pathetically miserable

Two things. When you play action with Fournette, you are trying to hit a big play down the field since he draws so much attention. They did hit him down the middle against Ole Miss to exploit their cover 2, however.

Second, Fournette gets a ton of attention. I'm sure you notice but basically the defenders flow with him no matter the play. When you play action with him, it is difficult to get him "open in the flat" because he brings a lot of flow and attention with him. Basically, what you are advocating for is a play where you draw a ton of attention to him and then try to "sneak" a pass to the guy that you put a ton of attention on. If you are going to use Fournette to attack the flat, you would have more success leaking him out against blitz looks, imo.

We run the most sophisticated Pro Style 6th grade offense in the country with closing on a million plays. Give it time we'll learn that one and get to it eventually

LSU only had 62 offensive snaps and threw the ball 14 times. Not many balls to go around. I'm sure they'll dial up some passes for him this year. They did call a screen early in the game and Fournette was held coming out of the backfield.

"Never" is a pretty strong word.

Bottom line we have a lot of weapons to try to get the ball to.

We barely use our WR in the receiving game. Let's get it going before we spread the wealth.

He's a very good receiver. If I know that I'm sure the coaches have noticed.

I've been a little surprised by it too. It was a huge part of Cam's offense with Rice and Tomlinson.

100% agree. How dare LSU not throw him the ball in 1 of their 14 attempts.

We did try that screen early in the game but there was a penaltt on state.

I want harris/buga to be the second coming of the Mett sidearm screen to hill(btw i always lol when people say hill is not a good receiving back)

We used him as a wildcat quarterback this past weekend. The coaches want him to touch the ball as much as possible.
