Are there any places in New Orleans that are like Bergerons in Port Allen or Don's in Lafayette? I know Chris is in the process of being built. But, I am looking for something not in Lakeview.

Chris' opened yesterday. They're cash-only this week though, so don't walk in with plastic.

I believe the owner of Boucherie is opening up a shop like this in the old Cafe Nino building. Not sure where that stands though as I moved out of state a while back.

Try Emmett's Fine Meats & Seafood in Harahan
They got stuffed chickens that are awesome.

Emmett's and Cochon Buther are poor excuses for specialty meat markets. But i guess they are passable for the area.
