His contract averages 16M a season.

Its extremely front loaded.

They can cut him after this and not lose much

Yeah it's one of those "year to year" type deals that the middling young QBs are signing

I expect him to win a playoff game.

Why would they make a change in the middle of a season to replace a QB that has made the playoffs every year and averages 10 wins a season?

3 of the 4 teams they played had a better regular season record than them. Ever think his team just wasn't as good as their opponent? Crazy concept.

I know. But Dalton hasn't shown himself to be capable of winning a SB. If your QB isn't good enough to win you a SB, what are you playing for? You have to call it at some point.

Ok? Only like 6-7 QBs have won a Superbowl over the last decade or so.

Doesn't mean all the other quarterbacks in the league suck

Guess the Falcons should move on from Matt Ryan and the Cowboys should ditch Tony Romo.

So you're saying the Bengals are winning in spite of Dalton?

So in your eyes the Falcons, Cowboys, and Chargers should all dump their franchise QBs because they haven't won them anything huh?

Trent Dilfer also played with literally one of the best defenses of all time.

When arguments get twisted that badly, I just ignore and move on.

Literally nothing in Dalton's career has shown the ability to heat up in the playoffs and drag his team to at least one win. I'm a huge Geno Atkins fan, but that defense isn't even top 5, much less an all time great.

Good God, some of y'all can twist a point.
Your point is that Andy Dalton, who has averaged 10 wins per season and made the playoffs every season (4), is incapable of winning a SB and therefore he should be benched.

I remember when Tony Romo missed 4 straight playoffs..

How good do you have to be to win a SB?
