Their bye week is last week of october.

They play @buffalo week before. A loss there could be a nail in the ginger coffin.

Who are they going to switch to? It's red or dead.

tonight will be McCarron's debut.

sat out last year because of injury.

most of the time he was throwing to wide open WR's in college.

curious how he'll do tonight

Any time they play prime time or in the playoffs. He's serviceable outside of those situations

There is plenty of terrible QB play in the NFL. While not great, he's still better then many. With their defense and potential running game, they would be silly to change out QB at this point.

Didn't he just go to the Pro-Bowl last season? Doesn't he average 10 wins a season? Hasn't he taken the Bengals to the playoffs every season he's been in the League? What am I missing here?

But Dalton hasn't shown himself to be capable of winning a SB.
He's no worse than Trent Dilfer.

If that's your standard for whether or not to keep a QB
That's not what you were saying. You said,

Trent Dilfer was capable of winning a SB and Dalton is lightyears better than Trent at this point.

So you expect a Super Bowl win every year? How many teams have made the playoffs 4 seasons in a row besides the Bengals? Three. Pats, Packers and Broncos. Pretty good company if you ask me.
