Why would they make a change in the middle of a season to replace a QB that has made the playoffs every year and averages 10 wins a season?
I never understand this line of thinking. You would have no problem replacing a revolving door at left tackle if he was on a 10 win team. But if a QB sucks, it is still taboo to want to replace him if his team wins in spite of him. Makes no sense. If there is a player better than him available I dont care what position he plays or how many wins the TEAM has

That is the question the Bengals need to evaluate. You seem to not even want to look because "he wins 10 games"

And LOL at you for not understanding being good enough to win a superbowl and actually winning one being different things.

"This QB can't win a playoff game, he sucks. They need to replace him." "Who could they replace him with?" "Oh, well, that's something for NFL execs to do…."

I said that? No, I said simply because "the bengals wins 10 games" doesnt mean he should not be replaced. Try to follow, it isnt difficult

Holy shite that is a legit choke I usually hate how people judge Qbs on playoff wins/losses, but those actual QB numbers are absolutely awful. For example, people say Peyton chokes in the playoffs, but that is inocrrect. Here are Peytons numbers:

63.5%, 283 yds per game, 1.6 tds per game, 1 int per game, rating of 88.5

Those are very good numbers, his team just doesnt win. Now freaking Daltons numbers are absolutely horrendous He IS the reason his team is losing

I'm not holding 0-4 in the playoffs against him. But I am holding playing like dog shite in all 4 playoff games against him. If he played well in some of the playoff games and they still lost, I would have a different opinion.
Ditto. I never judge an individual player on wins and losses. I judge on their performance. And his have been absolutely terrible

I know. But Dalton hasn't shown himself to be capable of winning a SB. If your QB isn't good enough to win you a SB, what are you playing for? You have to call it at some point.

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Jeff Hostetler have SB rings as starting QBs.

shite, even Peyton Manning looked like complete arse in his first few playoff games.

Better option than Dalton, IMO. At least worth a try. Dalton is garbage, and McCarron has some serious potential.

If you're settling for this level of QB, you're screwed. Those QBs winning the SB were the exception. You don't hope for the exception.

There are more. Some even have multiple titles. Mark Rypien, Terry Bradshaw, and Jim Plunkett were never the top QBs in the NFL yet they all have at least 2 rings. Earl Morrall QBed the undefeated Dolphins team.

But his ability was never in question. The second he came into the league, everyone knew he was a stud.

So what?

He still played very poorly in his first 3 playoff games.

He wasn't PEYTON MANNING back then. He was a guy who put up nice regular seasons and then completely flamed out in the playoffs.

Based on reports from Bengals camp, and the fact that he showed potential last night.

The only legit potential McAaron has is, him starting would mean more TV time for Katherine and DeeDee
