Irish Mule or Moscow Mule in a copper cup.

ETA--That's not what I'm going to be drinking...just a suggestion to the OP. I will be in Vegas drinking bourbon.

French wine, likely rose, to commemorate the assistance of the French. If you arent drinking French on the 4th, you are a terrible American.

Wine, beer and martinis. But I'm also thinking about making the Strawberry French 75 drink in this Wall Street Journal article.

I've been making this punch of sorts for last couple summers. It involves a little forethought but is worth it. You cut up a watermelon (a small to medium size is fine) and one jalapeno. Then steep this in a handle of tequila for 5 days or however long you have in the fridge.

Strain and mix with say a cup of simple syrup and a cup of lime juice (or you could just use 2 cups of say limeaid). Add ice and serve. Its become my preferred eye opener. Less heavy than a bloody with the same flavors going on.

Don't think I'll do that this weekend, but I want to try it out in the future!
