Inclusive of Marshall and Latz. What is the adjusted ranking with MM's departure and Latz unable to go?? It's obvious their arms were needed. MM's rental season at Chipola JC got him drafted in 4th round, yeah, he could have helped.

We were still ranked 1 after the Mac departure. And are you saying losing Latz excuses Pm's comments here? One player?

Well, we were told by the Pumpers that a team with a two-man pitching rotation "wasn't built to win in Omaha," but somehow Virginia was built to win in Omaha.

Doesn't name our only returning starter!

In the context of the Q&A weren't they talking about replacing position players and those being the most likely?

There's plenty of stuff in there to complain about without creating something *cough* taking more walks *cough cough*

frick no, and you know it. I am saying losing both of those guys hurt the team disproportionately this year compared to teams with very high quality, deep pitching staffs, which is who wins at the CWS. PM's game day pitching management may put unneeded stress on guys who become mentally stunted by it, I have never said I agree with Jack Wholestaff which has been resorted to the past 2-3 seasons due to lack of quality starters and/or bulldog mindsets. The risk of using 5-8 pitchers in a game is ridiculous compared to having 3-4 guys who can repeatedly give quality starts or at least go 5 innings on Sunday. Just think if Nola had gotten hurt or chose to play elsewhere...

I also think he was trying to communicate that although the team had a lot of success stealing bases this season they could have been better and ran into too many dumb outs or didn't take bases that were there due to lack of concentration at a given moment. The past few years LSU has had a litany of baserunning blunders that are almost comical, I can't recall other teams doing that consistently. Then getting guys in from 3rd base, et al. Yes the coaching can improve, but sometimes it's on the players as well. How does a starter who is obviously a great athlete with excellent wheels and gap power totally have no clue how to bunt??

Zardon is #1 on CPMs all time shite list and I can't figure out why. He seems like a good dude that is coachable.

Maybe he doesn't swing at the first pitch every single at bat, chase all kinds of garbage outside the strike zone, and get picked off of bases on routine pitcher moves.

oh my god stfu we all agreed that starting Poche in the first game was the right move. it just didn't work.

I swear some of you people, when CLM is in a interview you want him to throw coaches and players under the bus and now with CPM you want him to do what Les does. ridiculous

well of course no one did but that isn't what was in my quote above. it was that we should have started lange. everyone thought it was a good idea to start poche. and notice I said START not leave him in.

You can't leave Newman in after the other dugout has had a look at his curve for 3 batters. And it's an indictment on Newman that he is a curve only guy. Don't look at the coach who recruited him to pitch at LSU and failed to develop a 2nd pitch, much less a 3rd.

LSU is really starting to fall behind other programs like Vanderbilt in the conference.

We won the conference championship this year and we won the SEC tournament last year. Since CPM got here we've won one or the other almost every year.

Neither school offers scholarships. If you're going the Ivy route you best have rich parents or prepared to enter the real world deep in debt.
