Good teams find ways to win even when they are seemingly outplayed.

LSU was out played in the last part of that game, we all see that. What good teams do is find was to win even when they are outplayed.
We didn't play great tonight, but 1 win till we go to Omaha.

Still bailed out from a mismanaged situation.

LSU bats were cold, for three games in a row now. The 3rd baseman for them is certainly better than ours....they also had some good fortune....the ball getting lost in the lights/sky, the little sawed off bloop single, and then the throwing error on Foster....not to mention the heavy rain on Lange. I think LSU bats break out tomorrow......in a big way.

The bats are due.
Cajuns 3rd baseman played lights out cost LSU multiple runs. It sucks Lange didn't get the win. He shut down their best bats. ULL got most of their hits on WTF plays.
That was a very entertaining game though. ULL doesn't go away. A testament to their coach.

I agree with the post! Lt's all about timing at this time of year...let's hope that the time is right for us this year! Go Tigers!

If the Tigers don't start hitting, particularly with men in scoring position, we won't last long in the CWS

three games in a row now

quote:This is true. RISP has been an issue lately. But LSU has still won 4 of their last 5 games. That includes a 2-1 loss to UF that already punched their ticket to the CWS.

My point - It's comforting to know during a cold hitting streak for the most part, LSU is still winning in the postseason. If Poche pitches tomorrow like he did last weekend, we have leeway in the bats getting hot. Also, it's not like LSU hasn't hit the ball hard, the balls just aren't dropping right now. ULL's 3rd baseman had a lot to do with that tonight.

LSU wasn't really outplayed the whole game, the USL runs were of the fluke variety and they had that Brooks Robinson mfer playing third

True, but we won't get much further if our bats don't wake up. Pitching can only bail us out for so long.
