Vegas to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon was bad, but not that long, so not anhuge issue. First hour was nice views of terrain I don't get to see a lot of. The next 5 hours was the same god forsaken wasteland until we got to the canyon. Mind-numbing, especially after being in Vegas for several days.

I was about to say I nominate somewhere in Northern Nevada where you just drive straight for 300 miles, but yours is spot on too.

OP must not have ever left Louisiana.

Lafayette to San Diego. Satan himself designed hell around West Texas. Lafayette to Miami was also a snoozer, especially once you start going south.. at night, at that.

This thread seems to be "most boring drive you've made"

What is the actual most boring stretch of highway in America?

Some might say West Texas is boring. But there's some cool western scenery and plateaus and stuff.

Some might say Nebraska or the plains are the most boring. But they probably have the world's largest frying pan or ball of yarn and other goofy attractions to stop at

Some might say driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco is. There's not much but you drive over a mountain and also there's a lot of cars on the road, which makes the drive suck more, but it's definitely not boring

Many would say the gulf coast/i10 is boring because it's so flat

According to this thread, any drive over an hour is boring. Or perhaps none of you like to drive.....

Lots have said East Texas to West Texas but North to South was no fun park either. Houston to South Padre was the worst drive I've ever experienced.

Do you think that'd be a pretty cool drive to go on?

I drove it a couple years ago going home to Colorado from Lake Tahoe. It was cool at first but got boring pretty fast. It got dark just after reaching Utah and a blizzard hit. White knuckle driving for about 5 hours.

ETA - All three east/west highways through Nevada suck balls.

That drive isn't so bad

Try Denver to Cedar Rapids, IA or Tulsa to Cedar Rapids

It sucks balls driving through Nebraska and Western Missouri
