Albuquerque to Fort Worth is a horrible drive. Other than Cadillac Ranch, random abandoned towns on the side of the road, Interstate exits made of gravel (that are not truck stop lanes), and BBQ in Amarillo.

I had three days to get back to NOLA from Denver, I took a nice easy route, with constant stops on Route 66 and looking for ghost towns. It wasn't bad until West Texas.

The drive through Kansas is bad too. I love how South Park depicts the drive to Kansas. One second everything is green and mountainous, next second everything is brown, dirty and flat.

I get a kick out of them because right before Gainesville you also start to get the Cafe Risque billboards saying "We Bare All" and "Topless" almost on top of the anti-abortion and Jesus is coming back billboards.
