If Jennings/ and or Harris can master
Holy shite....how about using a different word than master.
We still have the same coaches teaching the qb's and the same head coach who can't spell offense.
Gonna be more of the same, unfortunately.

HAHA Nix to Twillie -- I have no agenda against Harris. Might not gush about him, though...j/k
I told you guys I'd hit you back up once I started my Tiger Football show with the VSporto Network on Tiger Sports Radio -- and here it is:

Jennings has all the tools, excellent arm strength, accuracy, intelligence and good running ability. Can make all the throws.
His inability to complete 50% of his passes or throw for over 200 yards proves otherwise.

You make it seem like young, inexperienced players improving from season to season is a foreign concept.
With that line of thinking there's no way Mett should have made the jump that he did from 2012 to 2013.
This argument is so lazy: Mett made the big jump between 2012 and 2013 because he went from Studrawa to Cam as his OC.
Jennings has been in Cam's system for two full years. He's not making that big jump. Yes, improvement is possible, but it will be marginal. We've seen the real Jennings.

It's possible the light turns on for any football player for any reason. Cam has a whole offseason to tailor the offense around his strengths now. Maybe they take more advantage of the quick game opposed to his normal vertical-based scheme.
Experience is always a factor, too. Mett was under Mark Richt and Mike Bobo for some time and didn't light it up under Straw. We can say it was because of Cam, which I'm sure is part of it, but there's no skirting around the fact that experience can be a major factor, too.
I got better under the same defensive coordinator as I felt like I knew the scheme better and was just more experienced and knew what to expect. It doesn't mean he will improve, but he certainly has a chance to do just that -- considering he was basically a freshman with game experience.

Cam also had the whole offseason LAST YEAR to tailor the offense around Jennings, and yet we saw how that worked out.
And, I'm sorry, but Jennings doesn't have the accuracy for a short, quick passing game.

I think we will see improved passing game play simply due to experience of not just the QB's but the WR's too. Two of our top WR's were right out of high school, another was a RS freshman, and Dural himself did not have much experience. Having that experience has already made them better. There are very few professions where experience is not a factor.

Lol, my fellow ATLien, you gotta chill with the absolutes. We all have a chance to improve everyday in life. Writing people off in sports with not much experience is why so many miss on certain prospects.
I never understood that type of thinking or rationale. I can name a ton of QBs who looked inept and improved with experience.
When Arkansas Brandon Allen got a chance to take over as a full-time starter as a sophomore, two years ago, he threw 13 TDs, 10 INTs and completed just 49.6 percent of his passes.
Last season he threw 20 Tds, 5 INTs and completed 56 percent of his passes...He may make an even bigger leap this season.
Not everything is so cut and dry and absolute. Jennings is every bit as talented as him if not more. But Arkansas fans were so ready for Rafe Peavey to come in an take Allen's job...Now they think he will lead them to 10 wins this year...

So how is this argument not just as lazy? AJ has only had one meaningful year of SEC experience. How can you say with so much certainty he will not be much better? As bad as AJ was at times, BH also showed he wasn't ready either.
It doesn't matter to me who the starter is as long as we contend for SEC championship spot. I think we have the talent and experience this year to do it, but let's face it, SEC west is a bad mofo.

ok
Heard some talking head say Jennings will be the starter due to his being more experienced. He also promptly eluded to Auburn game as evidence of Harris not going to be ready. Horse pucky.

I'm confused as to me saying Jennings is as talented as Brandon Allen and how you tied that in with some guy talking about Harris' game at Auburn?
But whoever said that is struggling with his thought process. Defining one player by one game or one season is bad business.

I don't necessarily disagree with your points about Jennings. That said, I would be very, very surprised if Harris doesn't emerge as the #1 qb by the Miss State game.

You could very well be right, GTB. I wouldn't doubt it at all; he's a talented kid.

HA! Nothing could go wrong really.

NO recognition and NO efficiency and NO efficacy in the short/intermediate passing game means NO CHAMPIONSHIPS! In other words, he's not an SECWest/SEC Championship caliber QB and most likely will never improve enough to be one. (Never say never though, huh)
The "Jury is still Out" on the "Other Guy." The "Other Guy" has more physical upside and potential to be an SEC Championship QB, but we don't know what he's got between the ears. "Potential" is just that. He hasn't done it on the field yet. So WE THE JURY (LSU Adult Fan Base) are still sequestered and need more evidence before we pronounce a judgement and verdict!
RANDOM "capitalization", DOUBLE QUOTES, and overuse of parentheses (like these) make your "post" less READABLE. With punctuation, less is more.

I won't speak for others here, but IMO you are coming on mighty strong based on a spring game.
I hope you are right, of course.

I am confused as to why you feel Jennings is as good or even better than Allen?
For the teams sake I hope they both, Harris and Jennings, have improved.
