Shipley's are fantastic.

If for some god foresaken reason you find yourself in Cullman, AL, The Duchess Bakery, Inc has some really good ones.

What do you all think of District Donuts in New Orleans? I thought they were pretty amazing albeit different/hipsterish and not your usual standard donut.

I found District to not live up to the hype. I thought they were fairly priced though. They were good, just not good enough to go out of my way for.

I disagree. Donuts are like sex. Just varying degrees of goodness.

In Portland, Blue Star. Just chiming in for those who might be disappointed with Voodoo. Voodoo is okay, but Blue Star is great.

Shipley's are the best for actual donuts IMO. Their kolaches are disgusting though.
