ETA: I think the HN has 10 weenies in the pack. Nathan's has eight. I've never seen a pack of buns with 10 in it. Why do they do this?

If you are going to grill them and like them burnt don't get all beef. Get the cheapest you can find. Bar S dogs are great for blackening on the grill.

They have these Oscar Mayer selects turkey dogs that I surprisingly love.

Nathan's, but make sure not to accidentally pick up skinless. The ones with casing are more difficult to find in New Orleans for some reason.

ETA - also fry in butter in a heavy pan to get that awesome snap, don't grill
