to be fair, every bro in the world lived by this just 10 years ago I'll bet you did as well, even if you won't admit it I imagine some middle aged woman doesn't keep up with the newest broscience all that well
You are right Salmon. The problem is you have people that should be in the know like trainers, nutritionists, doctors, etc still preaching this type of stuff. Not that there is anyone wrong with eating six smaller meals per day. Some people prefer to eat that way.

questioning a fat woman about her eating habits. no way that could go wrong
So true. They're literally impossible to convince that they're doing the whole diet/exercise thing wrong.

It's pretty widely accepted that it's ideal to eat multiple smaller meals per day. This lady obviously is eating the wrong things and doesn't exercise, but that's her problem.

It's accepted (a lot of things are), but not widely.

when i'm really healthy and feeling great, i eat 4 meals during the day and a small snack a few hours before bed
breakfast approximately 730. whole wheat toast and natural peanut butter (just squished peanuts). coffee with almond milk
lunch at 11am. veg mix of kale, broccoli, and carrots. 6-8 oz of non-fried protein and maybe a little more toast or a little cheese or something for taste
then a mid-afternoon snack. something like an apple with a few slices of cheese. or half a dark chocolate bar. or another toast/PB. or some nuts
then dinner, similar to lunch, around 7pm
then a snack, like greek yogurt and some kashi. or a little dark chocolate. or an apple. around 9pm

I got this band for X-mas and accidently jumped in a pool with it. I liked having it, but doubt I;ll buy another.

Get a microsoft band if you do buy another. Better than a fitbit.

I no longer pay attention to anyone who talks about weight loss/exercise any more, who isn't myself.
I am in peak shape. I don't need advise from anybody else on how to do it.
Nobody else should either.
Everyone knows what it takes.
Eat less, Eat healthy and workout like you're going to die EVERY DAY
Nobody wants to do things the right way any more, always looking for a fricking crutch or a shortcut. It's making me sick because it's all people seem to talk about all day.

Lets discuss the fitbit band, and what it is supposed to do
got one for my birthday, it's a pedometer. The upgraded versions include a HRM. It synchronizes with an app which allows you to set goals for activity, calorie intake, etc....so basically it's My Fitness Pal with bluetooth pedometer/hrm support.

So basically it is an expensive fashion accessory ?
Posted on 4/1/15 at 12:07 pm to mouton
Only if you don't actually use it.
I have the microsoft band and it has gps in it as well as pedometer, hrm, etc. I track my hikes and bike rides on it. Can look on app later and see my info on a map. Shows how many calories I burn. Has some smart watch capability as well which is convenient at times(I can see texts, emails, phone calls, fb alerts, etc on the band as well).

if you consider a pedometer & hrm a fashion accessory, then sure

Couldn't you do everything it does on your phone? Most people exercise with their phone anyway.
Posted on 4/1/15 at 12:11 pm to mouton
I honestly have no need to know how many calories I burn when exercising or a pedometer.

no

What can it do that can not be done on your phone. I honestly don't know much about them.
Posted on 4/1/15 at 12:15 pm to mouton
It allows you to set stupid fictional caloric goals so that you can spend half your day justifying eating shite food because you reached your fitbit goal instead of just eating grilled chicken/fish and veggies and actually spending significant time sweating every day and not worrying about that made up shite

People are totally clueless when it comes to diet and nutrition. She probably heard that you can lose weight by eating six times a day and thinks she can eat whatever.
Reminds me of one time when I was younger my 16 year old neighbor bragged about putting on muscle by eating lots of whey protein but never lifted an ounce
