Planning to go tomorrow night. Coming from Baton Rouge.
Should I anticipate traffic issues due to parade routes?
Will it be difficult to park close to the restaurant?

Just promise me you'll get the crab beignets, the turtle Bolognese, and the butterscotch pudding. Ahh, what a meal.

Dude there are parades in that area all day tomorrow. Why would you do that?
My suggestion: drive in super early. Have a cocktail (or three) somewhere and then head over to dinner and then get a cocktail (or two) after dinner because you're gonna wanna wait for that parade traffic to clear.

Take Tchoup from the ponchatrain expressway. Pin point the side street that LPG is on. It will run to Tchoup

Would be Pershing a one way towards the river. Would take Milan and then a left on Mag. TigerWise suggestion about the parking lot is a good idea.
Get close as possible and park. Just be careful that is a good area to get your back glass and taillights bashed in.

But it can all be figured out once you get here. Keep in mind that they literally block off Napoleon and St. Charles at some point before and during the parades. You're probably better off parking on the other side of St. Charles or Napoleon and walking to the restaurant. It's not that bad.

Good news is that it'll be less attended on first weekend + the day parade people will be gone so you should be able to drive around and find a spot on a side street. Take tchoups from downtown to Louisiana, much further and you might run into the parade lineups. Good luck.

Ill be the contrarian re driving. Get off I 10 at carrolltton. Take Carrollton to Fountainebleau, Fountainebleau to nashville, nashville to camp. Camp to as close to Napoleon as you can get, then walk across napoleon, and head to lpg.
Traffic should be lighter because of the construction and leaving will be easier.

So if last night is any indication what it will be like then you should be fine. I left Courtyard last night while both parades were rolling. I zipped all the way down magazine street and there were parking spots all over about 3-4 blocks away from LPG. The parade was passing at Nap & Mag at that time.

Not only mardi gras traffic. You'll be dealing with the jewelry show traffic as well. I hate that fricking show and the idiots who attend.
