Ill be the contrarian re driving. Get off I 10 at carrolltton. Take Carrollton to Fountainebleau, Fountainebleau to nashville, nashville to camp. Camp to as close to Napoleon as you can get, then walk across napoleon, and head to lpg.

Traffic should be lighter because of the construction and leaving will be easier.

Why is the OP going to LPG when the chef is in the middle of opening a new restaurant? I wouldn't brave Mardi Gras for a potentially sub par experience.

Meeting co-workers from out of state and this was a place that they have always wanted to try. No time like the present.

Dumb comment. LPG has a well trained staf, excellent front of house management, and im sure Justi and Mia have taken a vacation before.

It's not dumb. I don't doubt that they have a well trained staff, but if I am going to brave Mardi Gras to get a food experience, i damn sure want the top man to be there.

It's dumb to think it makes no difference at all.

This is a terrible idea. Depending on the time you're not just gonna roll up one block off a parade route and find a place to park. Pretty sure both night parades roll down Magazine tonight. In my experiences living in the neighborhgood you will never find a place to park on the up river side of Nap if the parade rolls down Mag.

I really don't think its going to be that hard. Only issue is getting inside the parade route. Once you do that its smooth sailing.

Edit: Just came from MG World. Cluster has started over there with all the riders loading up.

Actually it is dumb. I can guarantee you that if you dined at a top restaurant 10 times and the chef wasnt there 5 times, youd be hard pressed to correctly figure out when he was there or not
