Show me what proved the ineligibility.

To me, USC still has those titles. Had Bush not gotten those incentives, was anything really going to be different? At all?
??
They won one title

Penn State was penalized on the field for a criminal act that didn't involve on the field. USC played with ineligible players and its case was as clear cut an NCAA violation as you can get.

Do people even know what the Reggie bush violations were? An agent paid his parents rent. The agents best interests were for Reggie bush to leave usc for the nfl as soon as possible. Usc didn't pay Reggie bush, nor did they gain any competitive advantage from this. If this was a usc booster paying bush or his family when he was in high school than that would be a completely different story. The agent was acting 100% against usc's best interests.
But it was also in the agent's best interest to have Bush at USC. He's not hooking up his mom with a condo in Lincoln and keeping the family under his wing if he commits to Nebraska.
USC knows its competitive advantage and flaunts it. If they didn't, they wouldn't have invited literally hundreds of Hollywood and hip-hop celebrities to ham it up on the sidelines with their players every weekend.

The point here is criticism towards the NCAA for their questionable actions of rewarding an organization that condoned the molestation and torment of children who weren't in a position to defend themselves. Rewarding scum in association with this in any capacity reflects poorly on them and I will be sure to let them know Monday. So are you saying you support their decision yesterday? Yikes.

Vs Reggie Bush doing what we've seen players do every year. Their sanctions were ridiculous yet USC has managed to stay competitive with basically one string on both sides.

I don't think anyone's defending Penn State here. There's a simple lesson to be learned here. COOPERATE. Pretend that you're sorry. Like I said, why did programs like LSU and UNLV get punished in basketball but Roy Williams can do anything he wants? Because Roy Williams doesn't openly mock the NCAA every chance he gets. If USC wanted some lenience, they should have shut Mike Garrett up and maybe hire ANYBODY BUT LANE KIFFIN to lead them out of probation.
It sucks to swallow your pride and suck up to your superiors, especially when you know they're corrupt. But you just do it if you know what's good for you.

So, not even beneficial to USC. That sucks even more.

See but how was it wrong for USC to leverage their location and Hollywoodness ? Why is that bad? It's Will Ferrell's fault for being a USC fan and at the same time one of the most respected comedians of our time? Same with Snoop Dogg? That's why they weren't sorry, and the NCAA couldn't swallow *their* pride.

USC wasn't going to apologize for being successful.

That's the attitude that kept them punished. Sometimes you just fricking do it. I've apologized to my wife because of something she "thought" I did, because divorce is not a preferable option.

wow. you do realize that his parents didn't start getting paid til his sophomore season, correct? this had nothing to do with bush choosing usc out of high school. bush is one of the greatest college players in recent history and would have been successful at nebraska, iowa, arkansas, georgia, wherever. greedy agents would have tracked him down anywhere in the country he was playing.

I hear your two cents and I really do appreciate it. For the record, I don't mean to take away from LSU and I still want to see USC-LSU home home. A natural rivalry was created as both teams were seeing success and kind of paralleling each other across the country. Athletes for days. And cheers to y'all's win against us this year (My Rebs).
Really, I just hate the f'n NCAA at this point![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Point taken. But it is easier for agents to reach them in Los Angeles. Especially when you have a program that has proven through its actions that it doesn't mind getting cozy with the most rich and powerful people in Southern California. I get that USC has no connection to what the agent did, but it might be a consequence of having an "open" program so to speak that undesirable elements get in.

whats the difference between having will farrell and snoop dogg attend practices and lebron james giving beats headphones to a whole team? usc isn't the only big name college football program, this shite happens everywhere, even at smaller universities in college towns.
