Why the plural? They only won a single title, and it was in 2004. It was then vacated because they cheated.

Paterno turning a blind eye to Sandusky in no way, shape, or form gave the team an unfair competitive advantage on the field like what USC did.

This entire thread is beyond stupid.

it absolutely did. by sweeping it under the rug, it kept things at status quo for penn state. if paterno or someone else reported it when it happened, it would have been an epic shite show and recruits would have stayed far away from there.

They didn't cheat?

Is playing kids who forfeited their amateur status not cheating?

To me, USC still has those titles. Had Bush not gotten those incentives, was anything really going to be different? At all?

If the NCAA allowed boosters to pay its school's players, Texas would win the national championship every year.

Factually incorrect.

Obviously so, or USC wouldn't have offered them to attract such a dynamic player. They offered him incentives so that he would attend their school and play football for their team, who stood to win more games with him than without them. Such victories are now officially stricken from the record. Congratulations to USC on their 10-0 season in 2004 and their 0-1 season in 2005.

I'll always love too the AP overlooking LSU as the 2003 NCs. Went against their contract!!
Sounds like somebody doesn't understand the BCS nearly as much as he thinks he does.

Show me what proved the ineligibility.
The NCAA and USC both declare that Bush was ineligible beginning in November 2004. USC agrees with this so wholeheartedly that they completely cut ties with him. Bush is ineligible because the governing body who decides these things as charged by its member institutions says so. Your opinion does not matter.

I'd say the clear-cut best program never to win a BCS title is USC.

That is between USC and some newspapers. We're talking about titles won on the field, not given in the funny papers.

Yeah...that makes no sense at all. Step your game up.
In the meantime, you're just gonna have to deal with it: LINK

Illegal player. Non-amateurs can't win NCAA titles.
