completely agree with JJJ...How did you do this weekend?

I left the greys pouring into the decoys today. Run to spot wasn't too bad, got down river and it cleared up for a while. I found guys in my first and second spots. Went and cut brush and built blind in middle of bay. 2 more boats showed up and idled around for about 45 min. When everyone got settled it was game on. Greys and wigeon, past on teal, ringnecks and cans we thought were ringnecks. Great hunt, fog was bad in spots, got worse further north I went

Well I'm not a butt hurt bitch, but the internet has ruined plenty of hunting/fishing places. Surely you agree with me there.

Tuna, Internet ruins easy places to hunt and fish. There are a few nerds with a GPS and think blue screen is navigable water and tan stuff is land. But guys that live in their momma's basement may be bad asses on here, they don't typically venture out to places like Venice.

Agree! Hope the Internet duck hunting junkies stay home or hunt pit blinds in rice fields accessible by four wheelers

Yes, jealous of pit blinds and 4 wheelers

Hell no. I've hunted that way in the past. What sucks about pit blinds is its feast or famine. No where I'd rather be than hunting the marsh. If the ducks aren't in your spot, scout and find them. Can't do that with a pit blind.

Well. You could have a pit blind. Smoke them while you have them, hunt the marsh when you don't
But hey, that's just me

True, but it's only an hour and I'm hunting in the marsh. It's a drive for me if I'm hunting a pit blind. Only thing that would motivate me to hunt a pit blind again is if a spot was loaded with specks. Other than that I'll stay with shooting greys, widgeon, teal, and a few pins

I haven't read the whole thread, but it does seem that way.
FWIW if someone gave me GPS coordinates for a blind I'm using Google to see where the bitch is... So maybe Google is the real evil to public land duck hunting.

Lots of hunters have already quit this year
Truth is, google maps and the increase in hunter numbers has increased usage of hunting areas. Duck hunters love the chase and will put the time in to do it. The inrternet probably ruined sec 120 but it didnt ruin venice. Venice is a known duck mecca like stuggart

Good. Less pressure. I killed way more late last season when the birds got more comfortable

That's why I love biloxi the last 3 hunts I made second split I haven't seen another hunter. 50,000 acres all to my self it feels like out there.

Oh rly? I was thinking that place would be on with all the feed they had when I was scouting for redfish tourneys

There's ducks, but you have to work for them. I put the time in, will sit out there longer for limits. I wish there are hunters at times to get the birds moving.
