So Duke is a better place to coach than Michigan right now in either basketball or football.

Yes, how times have changed!

Yes, I also heard JH is not interested in Michigan. Hopefully, they'll find someone by this weekend, so all this can go away.

For an old coach who's already failed on the big stage(stretching calling Ole Miss that) and would like to just comfortably win 7 games until he retires it is. If Cutcliffe was 45 that probably wouldn't be the case.

I don't think Cutcliffe turned them down because of any issues within their program. He's getting older, has some health issues and is at a low stress job at a great school. Michigan is the complete opposite of that and expects championships. Cutcliffe is happy where he is and wants to retire at Duke a legend. If he was younger and in better health, he would have absolutely taken the job though.

So they offered Cutcliffe before Miles, wow. Not sure I buy it, but funny if true.
If there was a chance for them to get Miles, There's slim to none now. He has too much ego and too good of a situation at LSU to be anybody's back up plan IMO. His alma mater or not.

Declining an interview is not turning down an offer. This guys agent is a clown trying to get a raise for his client.

Ole Miss screwed Cutcliffe. They used him to secure Eli since he was Peyton's OC at Tennessee. After that ship sailed, they let him go and went with Houston Nutt. That was borderline retarded.

[Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Lemmy Kilmister]

Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, but I ain't the same

Mama, I'm coming home

Times gone by, seems to be
You could have been a better friend to me

Mama, I'm coming home

You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes

You made me cry, you told me lies
But, I can't stand to say goodbye

Mama, I'm coming home

I could be right, I could be wrong
It hurts so bad, it's been so long

Mama, I'm coming home

Selfish love, yeah, we're both alone
The ride before the fall, yeah.
But I'm gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all.

I've seen your face a hundred times,
Everyday we've been apart
I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'cause mama,

Mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home

You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had the hypnotised, yeah.
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes

I've seen your face a thousand times
Everyday we've been apart
And I don't care about the sunshine, yeah
'cause mama,

Mama, I'm coming home
I'm coming home

Michigan = Nebraska. No high profile appeal anymore.

If they offered the job to him then their pipe dream of Harbaugh is out the window for sure..

Les to the rescue?

I agree with this. If UM wanted Miles, they needed to quickly convince Miles they wanted him. I don't think Miles wants to be a leftover. The only chance left for Miles is for UM to seal him up within the next couple days. If they wait until the weekend, there's no chance Miles goes to Michigan. All speculation, of course, but I think that's UM's only chance to get Miles. Miles is warming up his vocal cords to address this directly at a press conference very soon now that there are reports UM has reached out.

Cutcliffe and his agent are trying to get a raise from Duke...I don't believe this for a second.

Me either- but if I was Miles and thought it to be true. No way would I want to be second choice to Cut.
