I love the Hobbit movies. I don't get the hate for it. I just bought the extended version of the 2nd movie and am watching now. So much awesome.

As a Star Wars geek, i thought it actually showed too little. Nothing made me go "oooo...." and I keep thinking about the impracticality of a laser hand guard. Looked like it's gonna be grittier, cuz ya know, grittier.

But I agree, the black guy is probably a Jedi or other good guy in disguise. A la like. It's a winning formula.
Also agree that JJ is overrated. Blue is right. Dude can concoct great formulas, but that's all they really are. He pretty much ruined Star Trek forever with his time travel bullshite. If there's time travel in this, I will lead the nerd revolt.
