Saw him 2002ish. Calling it a train wreck would be too kind.

Dylan last year in Atlanta was so bad... I didn't expect much, but would have been satisfied with him just mailing in a few classics... It took about two minutes in to each song before we could even make it out.. We left midway through his set.. I saw him in Lafayette years back and it was a decent show..

Yo La Tengo is one for me that is either brilliant or dull... Unfortunately they've ended up on the dull side one too many times for me to really want to see them anymore..

A lot of mentions in this thread I agree with. RHCP were garbage when I saw them. Seen Dylan twice and both were awful.

I recently saw Broken Bells and was so bored I nearly left a few songs into their set. Love their studio work, but it doesn't really translate well to a live setting.

Lots of people complaining about bands that aren't even good with heavy production on their albums. What did you expect from a live show?

let me preface this by saying that I've probably been to 5 concerts in my life...

The worst experience I ever had was during the Summer Sanitarium tour in 2000 I think it was.

lineup:

Metallica
Kid Rock
Korn
Powerman 5000
System of a Down

I fell asleep during Kid Rock's jumbled up mess that didn't consist of actually finishing a single song but turning everything in to some weird montage with girls dancing in cages.

Metallica didn't ever play...James injured himself in a jetski accident or some shite and they sent Lars our in street clothes to tell the audience

At that point in time I'd never even heard of powerman 5000 or system of a down and the Georgia Dome is probably the worst place in the world to experience a concert at and I wasn't able to hear shite.

Korn put on a very enjoyable show, even though I couldn't really hear it.

Add all of that up and it equals the most underwhelming concert I've ever been to.

I've been to a bunch of boring shows....Kings of Leon was boring....and I saw them during the tour for that one lp everyone likes. I was never a fan but my wife was. She even though they sucked live.

More recently...War on Drugs, Dino-bore Jr., ....and a band I can't even remember the name of but they are a big name band.....

Gosh there have been many concerts I've wished I never wasted the time to attend, but the single worst concert might have been the Grateful Dead in Jackson, MS with Donna Godchaux singing off key all night long. The other members were not in synch either, and it was almost painful. Thank God I also have memories of days and nights when the Dead were simply incredible.

Led Zeppelin was also disappointing when they played the Oakland Coliseum in 1977 after there was an incident backstage between the Zep entourage and Bill Graham's personnel. The tour was cancelled after the second show when Robert Plant's son died. The next tour date was supposed to be in the Superdome.

Considering expectations I'd go with REM at the Saenger in the mid 80's. Seats were not good and acoustics sucked but the band just seemed to be going through the motions, and not many motions at that.

America at Red Rocks in the early 80's also. Just wasted and forgot the lyrics to Horse With No Name and simply stumbled off the stage in the middle of the song. Karla Bonoff had opened for them, though, and was excellent. Great acoustics to show off her voice and a perfect night in the Rockies. And a terrible show by America.

That's really a shame. Been to a lot of shows at Red Rocks and it's pretty rare that a band doesn't get up for that venue and deliver a top shelf show. I've been to a few that were mehtastic but for the most part Red Rocks tends to bring out the best in performers.

One of the most boring shows I've been to was the Sigur Ros show in Nola. Some other flops have been Sound Tribe, Cowboy Mouth, the last Galactic show at the Varsity, and the last Widespread show at Jazz fest

+1

It's a shame too, because Ágætis byrjun is a phenomenal album.

Yeah Sigur Ros last year was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, but I'm a huge fan. I can see how their show would be boring to someone not as familiar with their catalog.

The Festival>Popplagio closing was just incredible.

Kings of Leon.

My family was going to Jazz Fest to see Bon Jovi, so I thought it would be cool to check them out. They were just...lame. I skipped the second half of their set and watched the rest of Bon Jovi's.
