There is no way this team breaks 6 SEC wins with Jennings at the helm this year or any other year for that matter.
Harris is the future of this team, not playing him now delays the inevitable, and actually harms the future of this team. Start him now while nothing is on the line except what bad 3rd tier bowl we go to.

I don't agree. Coaches aren't going to tank a season. Maybe in the NBA. Not in College Football.

he trusted him more as a first year starter than he trusts jennings or harris.

I agree Harris looks to be the future.
But if he's injured and/or playing poorly how does losing help him, recruiting, retaining players or team chemistry over all?

Sorry for the mistake above meant 6 total wins.

quote:Everyone of those QBs, except Miller, redshirted.
yes, our QBs are young, but please stop with this excuse. Manziel was inexperienced. Winston was inexperienced. Cam Newton was inexperienced. Braxton Miller. Heck, even McCarron was inexperienced when he started, but managed to do ok.
Manziel redshirted.
Winston redshirted.
Newton redshirted.
Heck, even McCarron redshirted.
Miller did not redshirt. Let's take a look at his freshman year:
Miller played very little in the first three game of the season. Miller was named the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes' week 4 game against Colorado. His first career start turned out to be the best performance of his young career, as he tossed 2 touchdown passes, while going just 5 for 13 for 83 yards in the game.
His second career start proved to not be so successful, as the Buckeyes lost 7-10 against Michigan State. Miller completed only 5 of 10 passes for 56 yards with an interception. He also was sacked several times resulting in -27 yards rushing.
In his third start against Nebraska, Miller completed 5 of 9 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown, before leaving the game with an ankle injury in the 3rd quarter.
The following week, the Buckeyes defeated No. 16 Illinois, 17-7. Miller only attempted four passes the entire game, completing only one, which was for a touchdown.
After their bye week Ohio State faced off against No. 15 Wisconsin. Miller was 7 of 12 for the game with one touchdown.
Miller's 1st year numbers are eye-popping. I guess you're right:

Uh yes it's better to lose those games.

quote:Not that I agree but so what? OP said we could not come from behind with Miles' offensive philosophy. Plain facts dispute that claim, regardless of how we got behind.
Our "come from behind" record is a by-product of the fact that we get behind in pretty much every non cream puff game.

Playing Harris does not mean Miles is "tanking the season". It means Miles is giving his future QB meaningful snaps in high pressure SEC games now while he is learning, with little to lose. Let's face it, we are not going to a reputable post-season bowl game this year. The experience Harris gains will be instrumental in his preparation for next season when we will all expect him to be competitive.

When are u guys going to get it? U do realize that LSU will build a statue of Les Miles one day or do you?
The bashers and haterz of CLM are the the ones that are wrong. Its comical after a decade of being wrong some of u are still in denial.
Fundamental flaws is now the problem with Les. SMH

Us falling behind has been a pretty common theme. Many of these games have been to teams that have no business beating us....making it much easier for us to come back and win these games in the 2nd half....end result is a decent come from behind record.
Now before I get bashed for this post let me say that we don't fall behind in EVERY game and when we do it's not ALWAYS to a team worse than us. Notice above that I used the words "common theme" and "many".
Suck it.

You really shouldn't use the word cancer is describing something as silly as this.

He wants to run the ball to slow down the game, outphysical his opponent, and not turn the ball over. This is a good strategy ONLY if you have a dominant defense.
You said that. Then you said this:

Sometimes you need to abandon your philosophy for an interim period of time.
quote:
Jennings is not mentally or physically capable of leading a prolific passing offense
So you want him to do something other than run the ball when you admit Jennings can't? You actually think Miles can unleash Harris?
