I do...just like I'll never forget my first impression of Miles calling the timeout after the Laron Landry interception in '05. Somethings you don't forget man. I understand what you're saying though

Not moving on from something that happened once, 10 seasons ago is a serious character flaw, fwiw

But my overall point is that if a QB has what it takes, they can (and do) excel from Day 1. Experience helps, of course, but let's be careful not use it as too much of a crutch.
Then you have no point.

That said, we need to THROW the ball to the TE and use the middle of the field more. WHY so? So we can make first downs, score TD's, kick other teams' hiney, win games, and win championships.

Right because that's exactly what you want. Two very inexperienced qb that are struggling with accuracy,to throw the ball where there are a lot more defenders and the % of throwing an int goes up by a lot.
Its mind boggling how dumb the rant is at times.

He didn't trust Jefferson in 09...

Yes he did. JJ's 2009 season was pretty damn good for a first year starter and his passer rating was higher than Flynn ' s was in 07..

Hahahaha...Yeah you're right I forgot Mett was developed by this staff...thank god he got 2 months with Richt and 1 year with whoever else in JUCO. And don't even say Cam was responsible cause the best game of his life was bama with Stud as O.C.

No its wasn't his best game and Mett spent 3 years here.also, of you can't see that Mett developed from 2012 to 2013 , you don't know football.

Youre a fricking joke , boy. If this were actually true you wouldn't feel the need to proclaim it to people on an anonymous message board.

The problem isn't that we run a "pro style" offense it's Les Miles still thinks you can have a productive offense dotting I and running straight at people. You simply can't this day in age

Wrong.

There are innumerable examples of Soph QB’s (or younger) executing a simple pass to TE’s in the middle of the field. In fact, in all my years of watching football I don’t ever recall an announcer remarking: “Did you see that? The soph QB just threw a short pass to the TE in the middle of the field!” It’s no big deal.

So why do we have not one, but two, very inexperienced QBs who are apparently incapable of throwing a simple pass to the TE? In your view, it’s because our QB’s are bad (“struggling with accuracy”). In my view, it’s because Les has ground-ruled this out of our O, i.e., his offensive philosophy post ’08. We don’t throw it in games because we don’t practice it during the week because it’s not in the plan.

AJ has been on campus since the spring of ’13 (early enrollee?). Sure he’ll get better in time. But I’m not aware of any serious analyst suggesting AJ fling it all over the field now. What I’m suggesting (as others, e.g., Risher and to my knowledge he doesn’t Rant) is that we use the good TE’s Les recruited to our advantage. Now, THROW the ball to the TE.

The offense was hampered by a conservative passing attack where the first down marker was viewed as a stop sign though. LSU was king of picking up 5 yards on third when they needed 6 and ranked 92nd in passing offense in 2009. It was an offense that sacrificed efficiency for security.

I get it. He wants to run the ball to slow down the game, outphysical his opponent, and not turn the ball over. This is a good strategy ONLY if you have a dominant defense. LSU's defense is not dominant or even close to dominant. Once LSU falls behind, they have almost zero chance of catching up with this offensive philosophy, unless the opponent has a pathetic offense (see Florida).

Sometimes you need to abandon your philosophy for an interim period of time. See Nick Saban in 2001. After figuring out that his defense wasn't good, he told Jimbo to unleash Rohan and try to outscore everyone b/c the defense simply wasn't good enough. He then reverted back to his usual strategy/philosophy on offense when he thought his defense was good enough.

Bottom line, Jennings is not mentally or physically capable of leading a prolific passing offense. And the other teams' defenses know this. Play Harris, let him hand the ball off and "if" you do fall behind, you actually might have a chance at coming back via the forward pass.

makes good sense to me.
