re: Kevin Steele IMHO - TigerNTampa on 1/13/15 at 9:30 pm
My gut reaction is that we could have gotten a better DC. But Steel was definitely the guy Miles was after from the beginning. Despite what anyone says about how good this guy is, his defensive stats are not particularly spectacular, over many years. That is the big concern...we should give him th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Is anyone happy with this hire? - TigerNTampa on 1/13/15 at 9:06 pm
Not a great hire. This was Miles man from the beginning, the two weeks of leaks was to make us feel like there was some thought put into this hire. Miles wanted this guy on his staff since 2012, but could not fit him in after he brought on Corey Raymond. No one could have changed Les's mind throu...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: The Fundamental Flaw with Miles's Offensive Philosophy - TigerNTampa on 10/15/14 at 1:43 pm
Playing Harris does not mean Miles is "tanking the season". It means Miles is giving his future QB meaningful snaps in high pressure SEC games now while he is learning, with little to lose. Let's face it, we are not going to a reputable post-season bowl game this year. The experience Harris gains...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: The Fundamental Flaw with Miles's Offensive Philosophy - TigerNTampa on 10/15/14 at 1:32 pm
There is no way this team breaks 6 SEC wins with Jennings at the helm this year or any other year for that matter. Harris is the future of this team, not playing him now delays the inevitable, and actually harms the future of this team. Start him now while nothing is on the line except what bad...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: How many SEC loses do you see? - TigerNTampa on 10/5/14 at 6:26 pm
Realistically, based on the the last two SEC games, I can honestly say the only team we may be better than is Vandy; too bad we don't play them. I don't think we will win another game this year. I cannot believe people think we will beat Florida; Florida's defense is way better than Auburn's. We wi...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

The best Landon Collins GIF would be of Terrence McGee trucking him and stepping on his chest after he laid him out and kept running in the first half of this years game. ...

It is not only the player's, the fans are as over-confident as any I have ever experienced. I came very close to punching out a 50 year old, short, fat, and arrogant Iowa moron in a Tampa sports bar. He kept telling me how over-rated the SEC is and how bad they were going to kick our butts, totall...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)

I would bet there are an additional 2-3000 LSU fans who live around Tampa/St Pete who are going. The rest will corporate tickets who are going to just to drink, eat, hang out in their corporate tents and see a good game. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

No I do not know of any independent shuttles...if you are staying in one of the bigger hotels, they likely do offer some type of shuttle service to and from the game. Check the OUTBACK website, the will likely have better info though....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Besides my own bar in St Pete, if I were staying in Tampa, I would go to one of three areas: South Howard Ave...hang out at World of Beers and maybe the Dubliner, all the other bars are loaded with 21-30 year olds (if that is your age group, go there); Downtown/Channelside: LSU hotel has a good bar/...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Hey guys I posted this on "And the Valley Shook", just wanted to get the word out. You guys will be happy to know that Tampa is one of the largest craft beer markets in the south. re: Rewatched the game......... - TigerNTampa on 1/2/13 at 1:31 pm
Misdirection is the perfect play for short yardage when facing a defense who is overreacting and selling out to stop the run. Their LB's were keying off Copeland and totally attacking the gap where Copelnad ws heading to. I simple misdirecton play like the one Miles used against Bama two years ago w...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Beyond merely stupid- stupid to the 10th power. - TigerNTampa on 1/1/13 at 8:50 pm
When opposing teams sellout totally to defend the run and dare us to beat them passing like Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, Alabama, USC, Arky, and Clemson did last night and are for the most part successful, we have a freaking serious passing scheme problem. The coaches say the talent is there and I be...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

[quote]Most teams "rarely win the national championship." re: 3rd and short - TigerNTampa on 1/1/13 at 2:54 pm
You saw a great gameplan by Clemson defence, and a very unimaginative LSU offense. Clemson chose to utilize the same gameplan every other defense that played us well used this year with great success. Load the box and minimize our ability to effectively run the ball. Make Mett & Stud try to beat you...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: I can't defend Miles any longer - TigerNTampa on 1/1/13 at 2:42 pm
I think we will always be competitive with Miles, but we will rarely ever win the BCS Championship. Miles will always struggle to win the big games, he just does not make imaginative in-game offensive adjustments. Don't get me wrong, he will certainly gamble with a trick play occasionally, but he ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
