it's safe to say that Fulmer would be a bottom dweller in today's game. During Fulmer's heyday he simply won games...and is probably (i haven't checked this nerds) one of the most successful coaches they've had (i know neyland was great). Does this mean that he shouldn't have been fired? Serious answers please.

You answered it for yourself.
I disagree that its a fact he would be a bottom dweller. Thats your guess not mine. I don't know but have always thought they fired him without a clear plan and thats a mistake.

How about we cross that bridge when or if we ever get there? This thread is about offensive philosophies

Fair point, but this thread took a turn and I was simply replying to the 101,233rd "highest winning percentage" in LSU history posts.

Bet it would be even higher and have more championships if he would put the ghosts of '08 behind him and THROW the ball to the TE.

This is so childish and lame.

I'm sure they had a plan but it was the wrong plan. I was listening to chris Landry the other day (long time NFL scout who worked for Belichek) and he mentioned the same thing about Fulmer and his program's decline before he was fired. It just got me thinking about the similarities between he and Les and the programs themselves during their leadership.

Oh yeah, you're the guy that cheers against LSU because you don't like Miles. Cool life.

I was begging them not to pass last game. We would run the ball on first and get a good gain and then try to pass and either go incomplete or get sacked and here comes another punt.

Yeah I hate to say it but with our recent record of developing QB's it's probably better that we just pound the run game. At least the clock keeps running and we won't lose by as much.

Wait. Did the person complaining about the 101,233rd "highest winning percentage" in LSU history post actually post something about a mythical "decline"!

That's pre 2011 shite right there - irony much?
