Definitely agree. I've never tried the cereal-topped donuts.

The best donut I've ever had is the Viet Iced Coffee one at DD.

Cupcake boom came and went and now there are a ton of empty former $5 cupcake buildings

This will be the same and it will then be on to something else

Thing about donuts is the best ones are always the hole in the wall 4'8 Asian lady place

The yogurt trend died a worse death than the cupcake trend.

I could be wrong but the cupcake trend didn't face over saturation in Nola or BR like yogurt did.

Ain't happening with beef prices where they are. That's reality. Donut bull shite is fantasy...fat girl, fat boy fantasy. I need a half dozen Shipley's, please.

Maybe in Nola. It's still thriving elsewhere.

Also, why is everyone so upset about people trying to be creative? It's a good thing that places like these are even able to open. Some people enjoy chefs/artists pushing the limits and reshaping the way we think about things as simple as food.

Blue Dot Donuts on Canal in NOLA has them. They're kind of shaped like eclairs, though.
