Hollywood has a bunch of attractions that my one year old liked. The stunt show, Disney Jr, little mermaid, etc.

I don't think any one is arguing if the kid will enjoy the shows. Of course they may, but are they going to remember the experience at 1 and 2? Doubtful. And isn't that what the ultimate point of it all is?

I just went a few months ago and I cant remember most of it and we are already planning to go back next November.

My 3 yr old still talks about some of the stuff we did there.

seriously, what is the point of even taking kids that young? I cannot begin to understand the thought process behind this?

ETA: after you eta, I just wanted you to know I'm not calling you out specifically sippy

when we went, I was 14 and my little brother was 4. He barely remembers the trip at all at this point whereas I remember it vividly

Not for my family. Seeing the little ones smile from ear to ear as they hug Snow White or Cinderella is what it's all about for us.....

I hate Disney, but plan on taking the kids one year. They are 4 and 1 right now.

I agree with everyone that 1 and 2 is way too young and a wasted trip. We took my oldest when she was 2 1/2 only because my grandmother took the whole fam and she insisted that everyone must go

So what is the perfect age for a Disney vaca?

My wife and I are running the marathon in January. We're bringing our son who will be one. Can't do it on our own so we're taking along her parents and grandparents. I'm letting them stay in our condo-like resort which is on site: Old Key West. Plenty of space. We'll take plenty of pics. He won't remember but I'm not letting that stop us from doing what we want to do.

We stayed there the last time we went...2 years ago. You will enjoy it.

It's one of our favorite places. Nice and quiet. I now own Disney Vacation Club and my parents have had it since '94. I've stayed there about 10 times already. Boardwalk is great. Can't beat the location. Saratoga is nice as well. But OKW has the largest 2-BR so it made sense.

False.

For the most part the only rides they can't do are the roller coasters. Most everything else is fine for kids on your lap. Also, look into parent swap on the adult rides.

The two year old will be fun if the kid watches a lot of Disney shows. I have seen some really great pictures of both of my nieces at Disney when they were two.

Ya but you're rich, you get to go as much as you like.

I imagine if OP can go multiple times then its not really an issue outside of having kids pooping their pants and being hard to handle.

I understand doing it for you, that's different

but he's making it sound he's doing it for them, which IMO doesn't make sense if they are that young

I agree. We're definitely not going for him. This was something we had planned to do before he was ever thought of. We're just not letting him hold us back. We decided to turn it into a long family vacation (10 days total; 4 of which are 'race' days) where we won't feel rushed to see everything so no big deal if we have to go back to the room for rests or call it a day early.

Good to know. Thanks. This will be our first time to stay at the Boardwalk Villas. When we were there two years ago and stayed at OKW we walked around the Boardwalk one evening and saw the Boardwalk Villas Resort and made a mental note to stay there the next time, which we're doing next month.

True. We had extended family with us last time so we needed a 3 bedroom apartment and OKW is one of the few that I know of that has a full 3 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. That's why we stayed there.

Next month it's just us and the kids so we have two, one-bedroom apartments at the Boardwalk Villas.

Don't listen to all the people bitching about your kids being to young.. I brought both of mine at that age.. And guess what.. It was fine.. OH.. And they didn't need a ticket and we still had a great time

It's walking distance (10 minutes) to both EPCOT and Hollywood studios. Or you could take a boat to either. Plus, the boardwalk has some good restaurant choices and entertainment. Your biggest downside will be the bus stop; there's just one for the whole resort.

I would seriously reconsider our trip if I had to pay for him to eat, sleep, and shite inside the park which is exactly what he would be doing outside.
